Shock Sets In\r\n\r\nIts a big job raising a child. And as the realization of my pregnancy sinks in it dawns on me that there is more to having child than just carrying it to term. Although this will cost Aneirin and I alot we both believe it will be worth the effort.

Borrowed Material\r\n\r\nStill trying to get used to being pregnant. I'm actually looking forward to raising this child. Though it was conceived from a conversation in real life, over the time Aneirin and I have talked about it, making the idea grow and flourish, we both have come to realize that this child, born on paper, conceived in ideas, is every bit as real to us as a flesh and blood child. And the Sabrina Online reference is to when Amy was pregnant. No, Mr Schwartz, I'm not trying to copy you. It just happened that way and we thought it would be amusing for a male-herm dragon to become pregnant. Consider it homage to another great comics strip!

Bath Bomb\r\n\r\nOnce when out shopping we saw 'Bath bombs', balls of fizzy bath salts to help relax. Well seeings it fizzes and if you add it to water too quickly, does it explode?

Remembrance Day\r\n\r\nLest We Forget.\r\n\r\nEvery year we celebrate the ANZACs, the brave young men and women who fought to protect Australia and New Zealand during the Great Wars, and every year the number of veterans marching to the Shrine of Remembrance grows smaller. Soon there will be none to march save those who remember them, grandchildren, sons, daughters, servicemen and women, RSL members. We never forget them. We will always honour them.

Profanity Filter\r\n\r\nHollyAnn and I were talking one about the profanity filter on our Ezboad forums and she was telling me about how she cringed and blushed just by typing in 'naughty words'. Finally I remembered to do a strip for it! Thanks to HollyAnn for inspiration for this strip.

Bible Bashing\r\n\r\nProblem with religions is that it tends to make its followers believe there are holier, more righteous, somehow better than everyone else and that they need to condemn anyone who believes differently from them. Sometimes I feel these people have totally missed the point. It doesn't matter if you believe in Jesus or not, He is still someone I admire and try to emulate.

How Its Done\r\n\r\nA light hearted remark on how I do my comic strips every week, mostly through alot of prodding and poking from Aneirin. I actually gave him permission to do that, to poke me to do my comic on time everyweek though he had trouble this week with me being exceptionally stubborn and lazy to finish this weekends strips.

The big Story\r\n\r\nIm getting rather large now with two months to go to the pregnancy of our child. Here is a little humor from Khirsah and Nauta, who are having another child, Kimset, and are visiting Aneirin and me to give us support with my pregnancy.

Sex Change\r\n\r\nImagine being a male herm. Imagine you got pregnant. Imagine the hell you have to go through as your gender identity is challenged. Maybe now you an idea of what I have to go through these days.

Female Hormones\r\n\r\nAlthough I'm a herm I appear outwardly as a male. Unfortunately as my pregnancy enters its advancing stages I find myself becoming more and more female like both physically and emotionally. While it was a bit of a shock to find my hormones kicking in and I'm doing my best to cope with my alterations... might just shave my beard and pretend I'm female...

Maternity Wear\r\n\r\nProbably the most frightening part of my pregnancy is after considering myself a male all my life, I have to do things which are feminine. Like look at baby things and wear maternity clothes. While I'm fine with this in private, I'm a bit self conscious about doing this in public.

Mistaken Identity\r\n\r\nEven when I'm not pregnant I get this if people see me from behind. My long hair usually mistakes me for a female, especially in a society where males don't wear their hair long. While its fun to play with their minds, confusing them as to my being a male with breasts or a female with a beard, its easier and less annoying in the long run if I shaved my facial floof and go about the last two months as a female. Luckily I don't have to shave often as my female hormones have dominated my male ones, slowing the growth of my facial hair.

That Time Of Year Again prt 1\r\n\r\nI'm not going to hide the fact I'm not all that keen on christmas anymore. Once when I was younger it was a bright busy and exciting time. Maybe I've become jaded and cynical but Christmas doesn't hold the same feelings as it used to. I usually greet it with a groan these days. Mostly I am annoyed by the commercialisation of Christmas. I feel Christmas is a time to renew connections between yourself and those around you, with your friends, family, partner, and even the people of your community. Christmas is a time when we remember a hope in a better world, though sadly that spirit fades when the presents are all unwrapped and the tinsel is taken down. Maybe if people truly beleived we can make this a better place and worked on it all year round we might achive it.

That Time Of Year Again 2\r\n\r\nI'm hopeless at buying gifts for people. Mostly because I just can't buy something for someone without thought. I prefer to get something they like or can use or are interested in. In my experience the only thing worse than not getting a present is getting something that is of no use. I tend to give money vouchers or little knick-knacks of interest. When I remember. (I tend to forget about things until the very last minute and then I can't think of anything)

Merry Christmas\r\n\r\nSeasons Greetings to everyone who follows 'In A Perfect World'. Thank you all for your support and kind words about the strip. It was a gamble when I started but it was one that payed off. I want to thank you all for helping me realise one of my dreams - to have a regular comic strip. Next goal might be to work on 'DragonForge' or to publis 'IAPW' as a book.

At The Movies prt 1\r\n\r\nOn Boxing day (the day after christmas day) Aneirin and I went on our own movie marathon. We saw in one day, 'Monsters Inc', 'Lord of the Rings' and 'Harry Potter' (in that order with lunch and dinner in between). We arrived early and bought all the tickets in one go, thus avoiding all the lines because 'Lord of the Rings' opened that day and everyone wanted to go see it.

At The Movies prt 2\r\n\r\nNormally I don't buy popcorn or coke, mostly because of the prices. But what Aneirin and I did was after lunch we snuck in some popcorn and milk shakes and then for the last movie we snuck in some tubes of Pringles. Much cheaper and tasted much better.

Happy New Year\r\n\r\nHave a happy new year everyone! Hope you will all have a great year in 2002! As I'm typing this the comics strips is being uploaded, then Aneirin and I are going out to mess up the town. FURRIES HIT MELBOURNE! LET'S ROCK!

Sharing\r\n\r\nAs mentioned before, Aneirin and I love our toys. I love my lego. And with the upcoming arrival of our child we've been thinking about what the kid's going to play with. Most probably the toys we already have - except the collecatble stuff which we will have to stick away somewhere. But we have many plushies and toys and computer games and .. oh this kid is going to be spoilt just by being born!

Toys\r\n\r\nOk ok, we decided that plushies are the sort of thing you can't really share. they are personal things you bond to. So I decided the child will have a plush toy of its own. Tip of the hat here to Tim Dawson, creator of Dragon-tails online comic strip (www.dragon-tails.com). Thanks Tim for years of enjoyment with your strip. Hope one day you will manufacture Dragon-Tails plush toys. Aneirin and I will by the collection just cos they are sooo cute.

Did You Say Something?\r\n\r\nUm... a brief pause for sillyness. Maybe its too much coffee and not enough sleep. Maybe its hormones. Maybe its just me hunting around for a gag at 7pm on a friday night when its due to go online in 5 hours.

Girl-Scout Cookies\r\n\r\nOk, this is suppose to be the strip that introduces Vitro, though Vitro has featured in two of my previous comics (Christmas day and new year's day). Vitro is the first macro furry (or scalie) that I've ever drawn. Here he shows his usual charm doing Godzilla impersonations.

Kids' TV\r\n\r\nThis is my excuse for watching cartoons - and I'm sticking to it! Having a kid is only an excuse to sit around and watch tv with them, play with their toys and to go into toy stores without feel ashamed of my age. But then again I never had any of those problems anyway!

Naming 1\r\n\r\nTip of the hat and congratulations to Tim Dawson's Dragon-tails, which made its 1000th strip this weekend! WooHoo! But naming a child isn't easy. We've had plenty of suggestions though we had a name in rl before the strips were even announced.

Tribute to Tim Dawson's Dragon-Tails 1000 Strips!\r\n\r\nI'm a fan of Dragon-Tails, always have been. On the Dragon-Tails forum there was a tribute to Tim where we redo our favourite Dragon-Tails comic strip in our own style. Well this one is my favourite though I added the extra panel at the end. It just seemed an appropriate follow up considering what Aneirin and I are like around computers.

Naming 2\r\n\r\nYes, we named our child 'Wai'. How and where we got that name is obscure but its the sort of word that a child would scream at the top of its lungs as it careens down the hallway so we felt it was appropriate. Also a nod towards the chibi picture of the same name with myself waving a couple of fans.

Signing into Hospital\r\n\r\nAnyone who knows what going to hospital is like will understand the chaos - especially when its an emergency. With cramps and contractions and panic setting in you don't feel in the mood to think straight. Little annoyances build up. Oh well at least we made it.
