Christmas Shopping prt 2\r\n\r\nDon't you hate it when you can't think of gifts for everyone, or more accurately when you have someone you can't think of a gift for? Well my father is like that. And no, I didn't buy him lingerie.

Meet Santa Claws\r\n\r\nWe've always wondered about those Santa grottos. All our childhood we're told not to talk to strangers and then our parents make us sit on the lap of a strange big hairy man. Not to mention he looks bigger in real life than he does on TV. Aneirin and I have both decided Santa is just too scary for little kids and is only a cheap gimmick parent use to control their kids: 'Santa only visits kids who are good!'. Wai's response to this is 'I don't want to be good mommy!' They didn't mention this in the parenting books.

The Girls Go Shopping\r\n\r\nKaa, being a dragon, has no concept of what money is, except that she knows if she has enough of these shiny little round things she can exchange them for larger shiny things or things for her amusement. This is something Wai has picked up on too. While dragons are not exactly materialistic they do love their possessions.

Now Something From Wai prt 1\r\n\r\nWith Christmas being so busy, I thought I'd let Wai do this weekend's comics.

Now Something From Wai prt 2\r\n\r\nI had a good rest the last two days without having to worry about this weekend's comics, thanks to Wai. Now I can go back to sleep ...

Happy New Year\r\n\r\nHere is to the New Year in 2003, hopefully it will be a great year! Lots of things happening this year. Wai will be starting school, I'm going to try working on other projects, Lots of artwork work coming soon and Aneirin will be writing IAPW with me. So have a safe an happy new year everyone and let it be a good one!

Crunch Shower\r\n\r\nOur shower really has broken. Its leaking water into the kitchen below and the drain is pretty much backed up. Aneirin's dad has come over to replace the cracked shower base with a solid concrete one so hopefully it will last alot longer than the previous one, even for a huge over weight dragon like myself.

How Not To Wash Without A Shower\r\n\r\nBudger suggested this one and while I was clean afterwards I was missing most of my hair, floof and skin. I guess this is a payback strip for the bathbomb at the end of 2001.
620x231 50972 bytes 2003.01.13
Do You Smell Smoke?\r\n\r\nAnother strip based literally on real life events. I was in the kitchen cooking and the smoke detector went off, which was weird because I *wasn't* burning anything! (for once) But the alarm was going nuts even though Aneirin thought the battery was dead.
620x231 57167 bytes 2003.01.13
Try The Obvious Solution\r\n\r\nNormally when turning off the alarm you press the button on the top, hold it for a few seconds and it shuts off, only nothing happened, the alarm was still going. So if in doubt, you do the next obvious thing and take the battery out. Problem solved!

Crunchy Dreams\r\n\r\nI really did dream about breaking my mobile phone - though I don't have one (I used to have one). Yet I had this dream, though in the dream I had a phone with an attachment that allowed me to access the internet and it had a long ungainly and paper-thin antenna which I snapped off and was very releaved when I woke up and found it was only a dream.

Taste Sensation\r\n\r\nThis strip should have been aired about six months ago while Wai was still young and being hand fed. This strip is a little out of date now as she can feed herself. But I guess I could have been letting her taste one of my experimental culinary concoctions (I don't think anyone will call it 'food').

Phoenix Moves Out\r\n\r\nBecause of various problems Aneirin is no longer doing 'Aneirin's Den' and because it parallels IAPW so much, I have inherited his scripts. So from now on IAPW and Aneirin's Den will be on and the same thing. Anyway, Phoenix is moving in with us for a bit, so its rather cramped over here at the moment. Now, Arc, Apollo and Kan have to find someone to fill in the open space in their own apartment.\r\n\r\nAlso Aneirin is colouring and writing scripts for IAPW from now!

Been There, Done That\r\n\r\nIf you haven't seen 'Shallow Grave' I recommend you see it. Its very funny and typical of trying to find a new flatmate.
620x408 113815 bytes 2003.02.09
Interviews or Auditions?\r\n\r\nThe fun part of finding a new flatmate is going through all the interviews to find a suitable candidate. I guess everyone has their own quirks. You just have to find the people who have the same quirks as yourself.
620x231 55634 bytes 2003.02.09
Its A Herpy Thing\r\n\r\nReally, should furs wear clothing? It just seems to be a human concept that doesn't really suit furs - especially furs who have .. well, fur! Then again with dragons too, who have thick skin or scales, clothes are only decoration... Urf, what was I on about? I think I need some caffeine.
620x231 61919 bytes 2003.02.09
Guess What's Coming!\r\n\r\nYes, its been a year already and Wai is a year old! Hard to believe a year ago I was in hospital expecting Wai to be born. Time sure has flown since then - Its been an eventful year.
620x231 56368 bytes 2003.02.09
Wai's Birthday\r\n\r\nHappy Birthday Wai! One year old and she is still as cute as the day she was born! After the cake, we all had apple pie instead. With cream! Yaaay pie! Woo! Yay! Hoopla!
620x231 57898 bytes 2003.02.25
Crikey!\r\n\r\nRun for your lives! Its Steve Irwin! He is invading IAPW for a couple of weeks just so we be take pleasure in beating him around a bit. We have always wanted the crocs, snakes, lizards, dragons or whatnot to get their own back, so Vitty is the first to take his pound of flesh.
620x231 68741 bytes 2003.02.25
Take Away Food\r\n\r\nAnd the funny thing is for every McDragons franchise Vitty eats, two more pop up in its place. On the one hand it means that Vitty will never be short of food but on the other it means that every other shop is a McDragons. (Now everyone knows the secret to how Vitty maintains his well rounded figure)
620x231 67094 bytes 2003.02.25
No Dragon Is Safe\r\n\r\nUh Oh... he is looking my way.. No! Get him out of my room! Not when I'm trying to dry! Hey can't a dragon get any privacy around here? Who let this freak in here anyway?
620x231 66868 bytes 2003.02.25
Don't Pick On Children\r\n\r\nOk you can annoy my native fauna, pick on my friends and spy on me while I'm drying off but you do not go anywhere near Wai. This guy is really looking for trouble. Now excuse me while I thump him into the middle of next month. Unfortunately he will probably be back at some future date with some more annoyances.

The Bus Trip\r\n\r\nHave you ever commuted on a bus or train and spent the journey with your snout in a book? I have, when I used to work. I would sit down and just when I was getting into the book I would have to get off - and I didn't even notice the scenery go by. Listening to music is better cos you get to hear and enjoy it while looking out the window at the scenery going by.
620x231 57144 bytes 2003.03.07
Grocery Shopping\r\n\r\nThis comic is sorta ironic as I'm the one with the fat belly from too much cola and doughnuts, and here I am going on about 'healthy' foods? I wouldn't know what healthy food is!
620x231 53079 bytes 2003.03.11
Evening Traffic\r\n\r\nHmmm can anyone spot the major huge fault? Well it has to do with the car. I don't actually have a license or own a car! But it isn't the same when we all walk down to the Tesco with Moomin yelling obscenities from behind us... then again maybe it is - thats pretty much what its like when we go shopping.
620x231 50178 bytes 2003.03.11
Back Seat Driver\r\n\r\nUrf more of the same from yesterday. Another reason I don't drive - I don't have anywhere for my wings or tail!
620x231 58155 bytes 2003.03.23
The Fast and the Dead\r\n\r\nHave you ever gone into the supermarket and found all the trolleys are gone? Where do they all go? I recon half of them are out socialising in the carpark with trolleys from other department stores! These strips were suppose to have been launched nearly four months ago, just after I got to England but other scripts needed to be done first. The problems of not doing this strip daily.
620x231 60413 bytes 2003.03.23
Supermarket Sweep\r\n\r\nDon't be fooled - those mild-mannered, soft speaking kindly little old ladies are really raging maniacs when they want to be! Their slow pace is a deception! you have no idea how fast these elderly people can move on pension day! I have trolly-wheel marks along my back to prove it too!
620x231 65387 bytes 2003.03.23
Are You Being Served?\r\n\r\nEver noticed that while there is never anyone waiting at the Deli, the number is way above or below the number you have? (or at anyplace that has 'take a number'? We get this in both England and Australia so I can only assume its a world-wide universal phenomenon.
