My latest batch of con badges as I'm getting back in the swing of things. All done on the same sheet of paper, all colored with Copic Sketch markers. Wraith's badge was inked with Microns, the other three were inked with a brush pen save for the lettering and the logo "signature".

Wraith belongs to Jonathan Yee (VCL http://us.vclart.net/vcl/Artists/Jonathan-Yee)
Veritas belongs to Brian Bobowski (VCL http://us.vclart.net/vcl/Artists/Acheron/)
Samurai Mujuru belongs to Phillip Malerich
quoting_mungo is, of course, moi.

One of the two first conbadges I attempted. I must say, I like working in this ´format. Just the right size for me. Magic marker (the green marker didn't like me) for the background, colored pencils for the character, metallic colored pencils for the name and eyes, 05, 03 and 01 blueprint pens for the inking. I'm quite satisfied, save for the marker streaks.

Badge for Likeshine, for the September round of the con_badges exchange on LiveJournal. The name and the earrings are metallic gel pen and look much better in person.

Media: Microns, Copic Sketch markers, random gel pens

Cutout-badge commission for Fa'zel. I'm rather satisfied, especially with the cherry tree and -blossoms on the kimono.

This was done back in late 2004, but I haven't gotten around to uploading the scan he sent me after I forgot to scan the badge before mailing it.

Copic markers on notecard, cut out and laminated.

Badge I drew up on a whim, both as a reference for Katla-in-Shadow, for a sample picture, and because I wanted to have a Katla badge as well, especially since I'm planning on making a fursuit for her.

I like how the wings turned out, and most of the detail. In hindsight, I shouldn't have used the gold pencil for the gold details, tho, the gold pen I used for the halo would've worked better.

One of the two first conbadges made. Used cheap magic markers for the background (I heart the single-color blue one. It doesn't streak so much. Dito for the red and the yellow and both red/yellow ones. The others are evil.), colored pencils/metallic colored pencils for the name and the character, and a 03 and a 01 pen for the inking. Quite, quite satisfied, I am.

One of eight badges done for Janette. This one is, obviously, a gothy vampire bat.

Janette, as a centaur. I am quite happy with the color scheme and the way the background turned out for this one.

My experiment to see if I could make a cutout badge. I ended up drawing a little too close to the edge of the notecard I was working on (I blame the house imp that hid my large notecards!), which is the cause of the jaggedness at the far right of the neck. I like how it turned out, still.

Conbadge done for Schnee, designed to enable pairing with a second badge that would have the holder of the chain.
Prismacolor markers on the same paper I always use, nothing new there.

Badge commission done for Schnee, artic wolf, the summer of 2003. I think he wore it to EF, but I'm not positive... I don't keep good enough track of these things.

Technical pen, watercolor pencil and colored pencil, with silver metallic pencil for the name.

solaris.jpg
Image: solaris.jpg   650x491 90487 bytes 2003.12.30

One of three badges I made for MFF '03, this one for Solaris Skyrider (commissioned in exchange for a favor by Kint Sonnemont), a phoenix.

Technical pen and Prismacolor marker, I'm really rather proud of this piece, especially considering it was the second or so thing I used the markers for.

Another conbadge, stemming from a FurBid auction.
Just the ordinary Prismacolor marker on cardstock deal... I think I got pretty nice results, this time. Black is a pain and needs to die. ;)
