Half-faerie comforting half-wyvern... Another Painter experiment, this time, drawn almost entirely (you might still see a few orange-ey guide lines in the background) with the sable-tip brush. Very fun. Though Ahli's wings were NOT supposed to be that mangenta, I don't know when that happened. O.o

Image: rel_zvee.jpg   375x376 24216 bytes 2003.02.24

From a point far ahead in PH continuty... A certain boar has fallen... Fallen HARD. But the object of his affections is hardly pleased with him. \r\n\r\nA lot of play with the watercolors in Painter Classic. I like how the stormclouds behind Zvee came out, and the tear trail in Rel's face. I know tears aren't -technically- blue, but a dark trail wouldn't show up on that dark fur...

Image: dancers.jpg   796x887 107114 bytes 2003.02.18

A butterfly/wyverndrake 'taur girl dancing with a female wozelle. Mediums used were Staedtler Pigment Liners for the inking, Caran d'Ache watercolor pencils to lay down base colors and Derwent metallic and metallic color pencils and Derwent colored pencils for shading and details.

Image: stripey_valentine.jpg   595x956 84643 bytes 2003.02.14

Perhaps I am a tool, but I wanted to make something for Valentine's Day too, damnit! Because I am in love, and it matters a lot to me. Been a while since I played with Photoshop, and it shows... But it's the thought that counts, not? So... For me, and for my much-beloved stripeytail.

Image: lanis_kait3.JPG   400x400 29195 bytes 2003.02.09

Lanis Trinket, a ferret, and Kait Lark, a skunk. Former slaves, roommates, bought and later released by a kind-hearted visitor to their country of origin. Drawn in Painter Classic with a Wacom Graphire 2, Kait's eyes turned out too dark, which I didn't notice as I was working on it, and the structure in the white looks odd. Stupid scratchboard tool, I'd have wanted to use a pencil, but light pencils won't draw on dark backgrounds in that program. Also, I had tonnes of problems with Kait's legs, and it still looks odd. Despite those glaring errors, I'm fairly satisfied.

Based on the keychain I gave one of my characters on a whim, here is the beanie tie-dye duhdrra. The tie-dye effect was created by putting six or so layers of sunburst gradients in Fading Spectrum and Cyan-Magneta-Yellow (pre-existing gradients in PSP) and Rainbow (self-created gradient) with various opacities, merging them, running noise, gaussian blur and blur filters over them. Rather satisfied with how it turned out.

Image: luxzelle2.JPG   600x600 64797 bytes 2003.01.21

Something I've been meaning to do for a long time, Illucian in the shape of a wozelle. Note that wozelles normally have two horns, like gazelles, and female wozelles generally have none at all. I'm rather satisfied with this piece, acctually...

Image: mari_reading.jpg   559x589 42858 bytes 2003.01.19

Five-tailed kitsune RA of one of three sections of a floor at Avelyon High (, Marina Turquoise, reading a favourite book. I have trouble drawing plump people, this is my first somewhat decent try in a long while.

Image: cwa_fall.JPG   400x400 125698 bytes 2002.12.25

Nitash'cwa Quall, photography/magic student at Avelyon High, quarter draconian, out in the dry season to photograph colorful nature, perhaps... And once again out of his wheelchair... Drawn with a Wacom Graphire 2 tablet in Painter Classic. Nitash'cwa is Copyright to me, as is the image... Read more about Avelyon High at

Image: leonwalk.JPG   400x400 25243 bytes 2002.12.15

More play with my Wacom tablet, RPG situations, and Painter Classic. Leon, the male human turned female sandhare, does not quite know how to walk on those huge feet. So she needs a bit of help...\r\nLeon Carpenter is copyright to me, Falconeio is copyright his player.

Image: leongirl1.jpg   400x400 16901 bytes 2002.12.06

First somewhat successful drawing with my new Wacom Garphire 2 tablet, of the intensely homophobic Leon Carpenter. Who is learning the hard way that expressing that homophobia in front of powerful mage!dragons. So. The human boy was morphed into a female sandhare. I'm thinking the muzzle might've turned out a bit too kangaroo-esque, but mostly satisfied. Painter Classic is my friend!

Image: drawink.jpg   580x582 54460 bytes 2002.09.27

Entry for a small drawing contest, drawing the arranging fur Ink. The subject was Drawing Ink, so I drew a drawing Ink, drawing... Ink! Ever-perfect hindsight tells me I probably should've put his tail in a separate layer, highlighting it was a bitch when the already-shaded arm was in the way. Still, I'm rather satisfied.

Image: wendy_c.jpg   442x569 51189 bytes 2002.09.27

In connection to the redesign of Wendy Blackglove, I was invited to a moving-in party. Instead of buying potted plants or something equally stereotyped, I decided to give the three hosts a manicure each. So I was going to draw for the gift certificates. Who would be more excited about pretty nails than Wendy?

Image: falconeio.jpg   314x402 33605 bytes 2002.09.18

Recent discussions have frequently ended up with bad mental images, and so, I, too, had mental images. Of Falconeio with mental images. But since I'm underage, I can't draw those, can I? Artist pencil and watercolor pencils on my beloved heavyweight printerpaper.

Image: brother-slave.jpg   411x680 81891 bytes 2002.08.14

Two half-brothers, born by the same father, on the very same night. It's Ja'al, the feline half-everything mutt, who can in his background find faerie, elven, human, xi'lavri (cat furs, basically), and then some races, among them an as-of-yet unnamed race of furs from "far away" and Hrasssl, half-draconian, quarter-xi'lavri and quarter said unnamed race of furs. Both are trained sex slaves, though Hrasssl is only ever used as a labor worker. Both characters, as well as the xi'lavri and the draconian, are copyright to me.

Image: uni_gryf.jpg   402x714 75265 bytes 2002.08.14

I was going to draw a sample piece for a page about taking commissions from me, and wanted, for some reason, to draw a parrot servant kneeling/bowing next to his master/mistress... The innocent sense of it all. It turned out... Not so innocent. I really like the unicorn's outfit. Personally wouldn't be caught dead in it, but it looks nice on her. Could've done a better job on the coloring, I'll blame lighting conditions.

Image: smokie.jpg   492x740 79209 bytes 2002.08.05

Picture requested ages ago by an online friend, that was done in about two days, but then never scanned. Because I am having certain scanner problems. It looks a LOT nicer in person, but the scanner decided to be a bitch and not pick up on the shadows and things. I'm rather satisfied with it. Mechanical pencil and 'fine' size black ballpoint pen on ordinary printer paper.

Image: dandlion.jpg   846x637 170390 bytes 2002.07.28

Picture I started sketching way back. Things happened, and it was never finished. Or, rather, the coloration of it wasn't. I was lacking what I needed to finish it. He makes a pretty kitty, doesn't he? The dandelions were acctually a lot harder to draw than I'd expected. Either case, I love you, Brian-ashke.

Image: i_wish.jpg   984x1281 165736 bytes 2002.06.09

You see, Shadowrose has this crush on this other guy... Who is a 'phobe... Poor kitty... He's also not used to interacting with other people in an even bordering to "normal" manner, which means he tends to screw delicate matters up even more. Watercolors and watercolor pencils over pencil sketch on watercolor paper. Crappy watercolor paper, it can be added. Characters and image copyright me, no stealing, I'm nice and let people borrow, most of the time, anyways.

Image: fen_rose.jpg   783x777 96138 bytes 2002.04.07

*ahem* This. Is. The Unlikeliest Pairing In Erigineeaverse. And it's still canon. Howabout that? Most of Fenni's family has been slain, and her father, the sole remaining family member excepting herself (and she's illegitimage, anyways), is for reasons not to be named as to not spoil the story, unable to sire more children. So Fen has to pass the genes on... Is it then so strange, she asks her best friend to father her child? Shadowrose and Fenni copyright me, as is the image.

Image: thiskiss.jpg   411x791 63868 bytes 2002.03.30

Mmmm... Me and Brian... Art teacher complimented me on it when I inked it in Art class... Quite like the coloring job, too... As am I satisfied with the hands. I'm NEVER satisfied with hands. I love that 'coon, yes I do.

Image: declaration.jpg   600x627 62710 bytes 2002.03.12

Some things I can't explain, nor totally sort out. Thank you, Brian, for causing some of the most wonderful confusion I've experienced.

Image: thankeebrian.jpg   450x746 41123 bytes 2002.02.27

A thankyou for all that a certain lovely 'coon did for me to cheer me up and boost my self-esteem when I was feeling down. Should have been finished long ago, but three trips to the vet with chins have come in the way. I like playing with computer coloring... 'Nuff said. You'll find Ach's stories in his VCL library, at

Now, most of those who have been following my comic's forum, the Erigineea Saga LiveJournal, and my own journal, know that I am a S/E 'shipper. And this is what happens when one gets started on my opinions on such close relatives having a relationship... Pencil and colored pencil on *gasp* good paper (as opposed to my printer paper drawings).

Image: smartypants.jpg   700x1011 109694 bytes 2002.01.29

General wackiness inspired by a comment in IRC (comment that I think was response to me being vain and mock-bragging how smart I was...), and it resulted in this... Don't ask about the dumb line at the top, it seemed oddly approtiate... Pencil and watercolors on printer paper. Yay anime-esque victory poses!

Image: mystic02.jpg   569x1031 42790 bytes 2002.01.29

Kind of birthday gift for Mystic, daughter of a friend of mine, a very sweet kid. Mystic figure skates, so I drew her a unicorn doing some kind of a spin. It's probably not correct, seeing as I don't know a thing about figure skating, but... Pencil and watercolors on ordinary printer paper...

Image: me_x_5.jpg   700x687 80757 bytes 2002.01.27

Me and my consciences, my alternate form, and my gryphon persona Chitterz. Rather than having a good and a bad conscience, I've got a magpie and a ferret, which would be a thieving girl who thinks she's sexy, and a totally innocent and childish counterpart. The drawback? Both of them tell me to take care of shiny things... The winged kitsune is my mage form, and Chitterz is the ferret/magpie gryphon that gave me the idea for the consciences. Pen, pencil and colored pencil on printer paper (which ought to account for how the colors got all grainy). I don't quite like how it turned out when I adjusted the background, if you know a good way to do this in PSP6, please let me know?

Character design for myself in SpiritFighters battle costume. Colored using Paintshop Pro 6. SpiritFighters is a collaboration project between several furry cartoonists and fans, idea by Angie of Furfire. Character and image are copyrighted to me as of 2001.

Irooz Wolf of the Everlasting Ice, werewolf, schaman, and after an unfortunate "accident" also a ghost. Image intended for use in a fanzine ("Raptor") based on the world the story takes place in. Inked pencil art on printer paper, colored in Adobe Photoshop using Aeire's (artist of the webcomic Xenith) Photoshop tutorial.\r\nCharacter and image 2001 Alexandra Herakai.
