No, I'm not dead, I've been painting.

I don't do many 'furry' paintings. This is one I did last year before I was on VCL.

This year (end of this month actually) I'm finally going to put up some paintings at I-CON! This painting, along w/a bunch of my others, will be on display and for sale, along with prints of some of my drawings. So if you're there, come see them & say hi to me!

Spug was ranting to me about how she just finished yelling at a RPer who entered with the standard 'MAN FALLS OUT OF SKY' line, so the next time I IM'd her I wrote a big intro like this, and followed it with: Oh, I meant to say, DUCK FALLS OUT OF SKY LANDS NEXT TO YOU SAYS HI.

Spug laughed and told me I should draw it. Always do what Spug says.

I was asked to do a mascot for the new SAM suggestion program at work. SAM = Save money, Achieve, Make money. According to the memo, “He recognizes how important your suggestions are and will personally answer each and every one you submit.”

In protest of the work drawing I was asked to do, here is my anti-mascot, SAM; Suggestions Are Meaningless. “He recognizes how important management considers any suggestions, and will personally eat each and every one you submit.”

Yummy fun meetings at work today where we're getting lied to about layoffs... I mean where we're getting information about the reorganization!

SAM learns that in these times even a company-whore must Change Or Die.

Ages ago when I was driving out east with Sue we saw a bunch of pure-black bunnies for sale, and ever since then I've wanted to get a black bunny and name it Satan, with a little collar & nametag & everything. Sue says she's afraid the bunny would turn out evil if we did that, but to be honest the idea of an evil bunny isn't all that threatening.

I painted an art-decoish self portrait that I'm pretty proud of. My brother Daniel, to prove that I'm starting to look just like my fursona (feathersona?), colored one of my doodles and placed them side by side.

I'm used to Long Island and New York City, where everything is nice and flat. What we call a hill, they wouldn't even notice in San Francisco.

Actually, it was fun climbing the huge stairway and seeing the houses built on this 45-degree slope, that apparently could only be reached by stairs.

Drawn at work shortly before leaving for vacation. Everybody wanted a piece of me before I went. After I drew this - at 4:45, 15 minutes before vacation - my boss' boss came into my cubicle with a list of reports he wanted me to write before I left. I think I turned purple. He left pretty quickly.

I've had a nasty stomach virus since Sunday... I feel like somethings pulling bits & pieces out of my guts. I keep telling myself if I can eat something solid I'll be OK, but that ain't happening...

Why is Sue calling Amber a Meanie?

Sue's a gardener and a nature lover, and she has this beautiful purple butterfly bush in the back. It attracts all sorts of butterflies, especially monarchs. Then one day Sue noticed the bush had preying mantises, which she thought was really really cool... until she noticed them eating her butterflies (gasp of horror from the back row)!!! So when she saw Amber was a mantis, she was afraid Amber'd eat the butterflies.

*Note to self: do not draw, color, or write cute stories when waking up after no sleep on a Sat'day morning*
