I have no real experiences in drawing birds, or in this case griffons. There is probably many flaws, particulary the head but it is good pratice. This is my second griffon picture, done in color pencils.

Dragon, lizard, scaley thingy with wings, it doesnt matter to the larger beast. It is still food.

I bought a Mat board the other day just to try it out with pencils.
Meh, I guess it is okay to work with, but I think I will stick to regular paper from now on.
Anyways, a try at some anthro wolves with this pic, I decided to do a father and a son with this one.
Done in Prisma color pencil.
