A gryphon for my roommate. It's been sitting in my sketchbook, unfinished, since June or thereabouts, because I was too lazy to colour the sky in until last night. The scan washed out the colours pretty badly, but I couldn't seem to fix them. *shrug*

"Come with me, go with me, we will be free birds, again you'll see, just like me, we will be free birds, and when you fly, there's no time, only your wings and you're free...." - "Wild Berries", sung by the Four Bitchin' Babes. The song has a totally different meaning, but those lines were my inspiration for this. It didn't come out as well as I had hoped, unfortunately.\r\n

Some things are more complicated than they appear, at first... The white rose has thorns, and they bite deep. The lioness was placid and sated, but she has awakened once more...And all my fault, for accepting the little necklace which became a collar.

The internal struggle is eternal; Thanatos versus Eros-the human deathwish held in check, countered by the love of life, each day bringing a continued existence... And yet, in some people, one begins to triumph... And the question must be asked- will it win?

Dendryrr are yet another Draitajern species; double-crested leaf dragons, smallest of the Earth types. I should add the far wing in sometime soon, shouldn't I?

Working on anatomy and pen technique. Unfortunately, I didn't decide she would be a donkey until after I had the body, and so the face seems somewhat stuck-on. In the process of watercoloring this now.

Dracana, the 200-foot-long golden dragoness... The gryphon is on her head for scale... and because every gryphon in IRC seems to end up sitting on her head at one time or another. Usually to get out of the line of fire in a pie fight.\n

This is one of the only pictures over a year old that I still like. Surprisingly enough, it took me only about 45 minutes to complete.\n

Done as a Christmas present, this thing took forever... way more time than I should have invested in it, in retrospect. :P

Just a silly little thing. Playing with my tablet while discussing the appearance of a race of evil mages a friend is trying to work up. I mentioned that if they didn't have to be physically imposing, you may as well have a race of magical penguins, and then... this had to be drawn.
