I get the those headaches after naps... and I think that I've started clenching my teeth in my sleep again, judging from the pain in the right side of my jaw. Damn.

I'm going to go nap. Ouch.

When I was redesigning Amy in January, I sketched out a character sheet for her.

Some of the writing is legible, but it's not vital to be able to read it. Basically, it just says that her hands are pamprodactylous and nearly semipalmate, her pupils are usually dilated, she has duct tape on her tail (it's actually electrical tape), and has barred retrices and remiges.

I've been feeling really awful lately. Tense, irascible, morose. And the like.

And on top of that I'm going through a massive art block. I try to draw... no inspiration. Doesn't help my mood any. This is all I could muster.

My character Citlalicue (theet'-la-lee'-quay) in wereform. Another not-so-great scan... the sparkliness of the name field doesn't show up at all! I wasn't too happy with the image to begin with, so I'm REALLY none too pleased with the final result... the name area's so sparkly and pretty in real life though.

So the neighbour comes up randomly and says my cockatiels are fat. No. They're not. One is mildly UNDERweight and the other has a robust, muscular build, but he's in the healthy range. I don't think you have the right to tell my my pets are unhealthy, especially when you know nothing about how their species should look. And especially when YOUR dog is one of the most obese I've ever seen.

And then later one of the neighbour's kids comes up and asks if she and her friend can see the birds. Do you think i'm running a private circus up here for your amusement?! Since when is it even polite to bring your friend to someone's home whom NEITHER OF YOU KNOW just to see their PETS for entertainment.

THIS is the reason I wanted gel pens. Elegia Mordere's a generic black corvigryph... but sparkly!! Unfortunately my scanner doesn't pick up the glittery goodness present in the original. I had no idea how to draw sparkliness, so I decided I'd get gel pens! I ended up getting 100!

I love hyenas. They always come out looking canine when I draw them, but I think I did alright here.

And nooo, before you complain, hyenas are NOT canids, they have their own family (Hyaenidae) and are much more closely related to herpestids (mongooses) and viverrids (civets and genets) than dogs. They're actually part of the Feloidia superfamily!

Preliminary lineart (more detail to come) of a cute li'l eagle. Just a generic one.

The claws are partially cut off on the right foot 'cause the paper's too big to fit on my scanner. The entire image is a lot larger than I usually work.

To be watercoloured and maybe markered eventually.

I am recovering from a bout of sinusitis... I still feel awful.

Moldy has been dubbed by my mother as a "terrorist" due to her love of scaring other birds/hurting other birds/destroying property/screwing with others' cages/annoying people.

BUT SHE IS SO CUTE! I love my poofy grey terrorist.

Lyris badge! Not the greatest scan, but that's alright. Unfortunately one can't see here that the dot above the i is neon orange, the letters are metallic purple, and the orange-looking borders around the letters and name field are actually sparkly pink.

Her design's changed dramatically from the last I drew her.

There's work being done on my porch, so some bastard's there when I come home, making noise and tampering with my house's structure. Sometimes there's a different bastard and his kids. They play bad hair metal ballads REALLY LOUDLY from their truck when I'm trying to nap. Both of these parties leave trash all around the porch. I HATE other people's shit in my yard- it's not a junkyard, don't make it look like one. They also block the driveway. Grrrr.

Anyways, I drew this as a quick expression of my frustration over the matter. I can't draw uzis. Or any firearm for that matter.

Merle's back... now more satanic than ever before. Am I a Satanist? No. I don't associate myself with any faith. Is Merle? Hrm. I'm leaning towards "no" though she does fit some aspects of LaVey Satanism. She's more of a selfist.

She was created by those with the intent of bringing an Antichrist figure to Earth (hence her jackalness... she does have Omen influence) and therefore she sees herself as the only thing worth worship.

My bloodthirsty anthropomorphic golden jackal, Merle McCambridge. She's Scottish and wears a Glasgow Academy Corporate tartan tammy hat. Her hair is so fun.

Quick Merle, Siegerin, and Vesper heads. I think I'm going to lighten Siegerin.

Morella, my Alaskan klee kai character. I don't think I have any pictures of her here, but she's not new... her first appearance was in late 2005 and nothing about her's changed ever since then. That will change. She has been traditionally bipedal (NOT anthro. Just a dog who walks on her hind legs), but I felt like drawing a quad. Expect a bit more of her soonish.

Ballpoint doodle from today. It started as a vapidly angry gryphon head, then it progressed into a body and a curiously fisted hand... I decided that he was clearly holding a remote and his facial expression was a result of nothing to watch.

Oh, gryphons.

WHAT IS IT. Some sort of reptomammalian.. thing. I wanted to draw something with ridiculous proportions, and this was the result.

I've said that the most dangerous part of a pit bull is its tail. They're such happy and sweet dogs, and their furiously wagging tails HURT!

I screwed up my own markings. Arrgh.
