I told her she looked like a bumblebee in a certain outfit she was wearing, then I doodled this to illustrate my point. She was immediately quite taken by the little sketch and she requested to ink it. She did add a bit of her own flair duing the inking though. The antennae and venom-drops from the stinger weren't there originally.

By the way, you don't need to directly ask me for permission to colour anything. Just ask me about the character's colours if you care and send it to me when you're done!

What she does is she prints out the lineart onto cardstock and then colours it with Prismas. She's pretty damned good at getting my characters' colours right!
