Badge done quite a while ago as a gift for mr. Jaygryph... not so much the way he draws his character, but more of my view of a zombie blue jay gryph.

Trade with Jessicat! Took forever, but I'm pretty happy with it. First kitty in a while.

Copyright stuff on image.

kachexiebadge.jpg

Neeew character!! A zombie Icelandic sheepdog. Her name is Kachexie, which is German for cachexia. Her name is pronounced how it looks to English speakers (caa-CHECK-see); though the actual German word is pronounced differently.

This badge still needs a bit more refined cutting, but it's essentially done otherwise. The purple of the name shows up poorly in the scan. Can't wait to get this one laminated!

Li'l Kachexie head to test coloured pencils on parchment.

dootdootdoot... her vision is very weak and she relies almost exclusevely on her senses of smell and hearing to get around. Her sight is especially poor in the dark because her pupils are fixed in miosis.

YEAH THIS IS ALL WELL AND GOOD AVE NOW HOW ABOUT SOME BODIES SERIOUSLY

Lineart.. my entry for Karzrave's contest. Herself and her boyfriend Dave as furred serpentine things, devouring each other! I wanted my entry to be an Ouroboros-esque design, symbolizing eternity and unity. Aww.

Anyhooo, it's not finished yet (needs colour), but I think this lineart would make a neat tattoo design.

Gift badge for :iconkarzrave: 'cause I've really fallen in love with her style and artwork since discovering her gallery.

Here's Karz with a monstrous grin.

As usual, sparkly, far brighter in real life than in the scan.

Badge trade with DA's Akaila-DaReal the colours are SO much more intense and defined in real life. Horrid scan.

For me to be satisfied with a movie nowadays, it needs a whole bunch of "kill kill kill". CLASSY SOPHISTICATED kill kill kill. None of that teen slasher tripe.

Who told them that it's a good name for a CLOTHING store of all places? Yeah, maybe their products ARE made by Honduran and Guatemalan child sweatshop laborers (WARNING: UNFOUNDED CLAIM!!!), but for their sake they shouldn't be so blatant about it.

I forgot her ear-hair! Oh well. Yes, I'm way too lazy to be bothered with backgrounds for quick cartoons.

krasnaia.gif
Image: krasnaia.gif   600x488 9933 bytes 2006.05.02

Krasnaia, I've read, means red in Russian, which is just PERFECT for the trusty steed/sidekick of a Soviet communist dictator clone superhero, eh?

Krasnaia is red with black swoopy thing on its back, black ventral fins, yellow dorsal fin, caudal fins, and cheek patch.

Aquastalin and Krasnaia are mine.

lacrimablue.jpg

An oldie but a cutie.

The way nature intended: strong, confident, and free. Unfortunately, although Lacrima lives a very happy life with her human 'father', her talons are docked to apelike 'nails', she is not allowed to see the outside world, and doesnt know how to act like a true gryphon. This picture represents her in a more mature, aware light than her true naive, childish self.

That's the original description- now that I think of it, I believe this was among my original VCL samples.

Everyone- Thanks so much for the positive support! It's been only 2 days and I haven't done any advertising but I've gotten over 400 pageviews, and even a few comments!
My most popular image as of now is the "td5" pic of Tourniquet..so here's a happy Lacune in a similar style.

la renarde

I felt inspired to draw a fox. I am forced to play one in an upcoming French assignment, hence the title...

i love the flow of the body. I need to work on anatomy though... GIRAFFEVIXEN.

The pen I used to ink skipped, making the task somewhat annoying.

leriebadge.jpg
Image: leriebadge.jpg   203x282 32320 bytes 2006.07.25

In all my years of having her and her predecessors (who were essentially her) as characters, I can't believe I've never made a Lerie badge.

In case you are unfamiliar with her, Lerie is (hopefully clearly) a zombie gryphlet, the only true "character" out of all the undead gryphs I draw. Her design's changed pretty significantly from the last time I drew her: namely, her eyes have gotten smaller, her ear fluff is green, and she's now caked in filth. Before she was a light grey... but honestly, how would a young zombie be able to maintain that pristine colour?

I did this to test out a new badge style (completely cut out)... if successful, it'll be my littlest badge ever at an adorable 3"x4"!

This is from July. It's a simple character sheet of my zombie gryphlet character Lerie, who first made herself known in a comic. She's so cute.

My first entirely digital lineart! I'm quite happy with it. Lerie's design has certainly changed some since the last time her full body was drawn. Right now I'm in the process of turning the larger black/white version into a reference. yeeeeeey

Drawn in Photoshop CS, tinted in Elements.

Lerie (lee'-ree) was initially a composite of my first two zombie gryph characters and over the years she became her own entity. This is the first ref I've done in ages.

NO LIGHT SOURCE SSHHH. The other ref is now officially void.

Young amphiptere whose wings have not yet grown to support it. It looks like some sort of... alien. Very shaky inking.

Quickie digital trade with LluviaWolf. I had actually wanted to do a trade with her a for a while before coming across her on iSketch! HARR.

Something screwy happened so there's a clear definition between the grey parts and the white ones. I have no idea why. Copyrights on image.

My best friend, Lyris the crested purple Samoyed. That thing on her back is her gigantic spitzy tail, if you couldn't tell. It was sort of ambiguous when I first sketched it.

I should make a character sheet for her.

New character! Marsillach, pronounced either 'mar-see'-ock' or 'mar-sill'-ock', whichever suits your fancy. Named after Cristina Marsillach, you ask? No, not really. I just thought it was a nice name for a male gryphon.

I haven't uploaded anything in a while. I also haven't drawn Lacune for a while. Sooo...here's Lacune in a dress inspired by a picture in the liner of some Tristania CD. Because I haven't listened to it for a while.

merleaxe.gif
Image: merleaxe.gif   437x700 17922 bytes 2005.11.30

"Meine damen und herren, thank you and good night. I'll be here all week."

Just a quickie pen doodle of Merle with a weird-shaped axe. She's a maven with most traditional weapons. Which leads to the question: which is scarier, a giant biped jackal coming at you with a axe, or a giant biped jackal coming at you with a roque mallet?

merleback.gif
Image: merleback.gif   385x800 20570 bytes 2005.11.30

Merle's back, the reason why she tends to wear halter tops. I might have said she was a golden jackal before... disregard that, I guess I had forgotten that she's a black-backed. After her creation, the mark of the beast was carved into her back. I may change the arrangement of the 6s to more of a triskelion... it'll look cooler. I screwed up the feet VERY badly, so I cut the bottom off.

It looks like she's checking her watch or something.

merlebadge.jpg
Image: merlebadge.jpg   315x423 51708 bytes 2006.01.17

The only reason I'm uploading this is because i like the face. The rest I hate.

Just a very quick little badge of my character Merle. Terrible scan. I love doing badges, and normally they come out infinitely nicer than this one, but... this one was just a quickie for myself, so I'm allowed to slack, hmm?

By the way, badge price is now available in my commission page, so if you're interested...
