Cute li'l crested zombie gryphlet. I've been on quite the reanimated gryph kick lately.
This guy doesn't have a huge forehead, it's just the top of his head.
I wish I had a spare Micron set so I wouldn't have to use Unis in school.. the detail one can get from the former pen is incomparable.

A quick badge I had made before deciding on Verveine as her name.

How can you not love the zombie gryphons? Oh... yeah. They're drippy. and they smell.
I really wish I had avian anatomy tables. Improvising on musculature and skeletal structure, as one can see I did here, is bad.
Other than that, I like the original of this image a lot... making it suitable for upload eliminated some of the details.

Citlalicue. She was essentially Verveine's precursor and a Siberian husky/Alaskan malamute/border collie/maned wolf/golden jackal/grey wolf mix. Since that was quite a mix, I called it the German Arbeit Wolf, aka the Arbeiter.

The Azoic's "Illuminate" is a rare song in that it makes me so HAPPY. I listen to a good variety of songs, and I think that Illuminate may just be the only song with such an effect on me.

I'm not too happy with the image, but listening to the song innumerable times during its creation was certainly nice.

If you're an EBM, electro, techno, futurepop, or whatever fan, buy the Azoic's albums. They deserve the money and support.

I was coming down with a cold on Friday and I had sick breath. Yuck.

My best friend, Lyris the crested purple Samoyed. That thing on her back is her gigantic spitzy tail, if you couldn't tell. It was sort of ambiguous when I first sketched it.

Verveine's ref sheet. I might redo it.

The compression screwed it up, but that's okay.

Lineart from a few months ago of a character I was going to use as my fursona. She closely resembles my other zombie gryphlet character, Lerie, save for the "normal" eyes, full wings, bushy tail, and semi-avian feet on all four legs. This girl's also a lot neater looking and less decayed.
The left hind leg is a little irksome around the stifle area, but otherwise I really like this image.

Zombie gryphons are awesome. There should definitely be more of them.

My golden jackal/Siberian husky cross character, who is currently unnamed. Very creepy.

This was an experiment in using Roseart pencils... normally I use Prismas, but I wanted to see if these could be a cheap alternative. Maybe. Came out okay, but I should definitely put more detail in the white fur next time...

I was bored in French, so I took another half hour to draw Sagodjura! Ah, I love her.

Spent a good half hour during English drawing Corax. He's an older character, but I never seem to draw him. He looks rather reptilian with that pupil, don't you think? I believe I captured his choleric nature rather well here.

A sketch of Amy, because I haven't drawn her in forever. I rather like the face, but I REALLY screwed up on the wing. It's funny- birds (particularly corvids) are my favourite animals, yet I detest drawing wings and have a morbid fear of heights.

This is an avatar image I've been using pretty often as of late. He/She isn't a character of mine, just a regular ol' purple gryphon. It hides its true rivethead self beneath its purpleness though...

I haven't uploaded anything in a while. I also haven't drawn Lacune for a while. Sooo...here's Lacune in a dress inspired by a picture in the liner of some Tristania CD. Because I haven't listened to it for a while.

I was asking myself why I bought that neat pen if I never use it. Same question goes for my plate bristol.

Sagodjura and Tourniquet's syncreted state, a perfect blend of the choleric, melancholy, phlegmatic, and sanguine humours. Although neither Sagodjura nor Tourniquet have a crest, their merged state does.

For Otome Urufu, 'cause her character is just so pretty.

Otome belongs to Courtney Woodall. So don't steal her.

This was originally intended to be a "nonmorphic" Ave, but I decided against it.

I adore Delerium, gryphons, and corsets, so here is a (sans corset) psuedo-new age Karma inspired gryphon. The background is going to be equally confusing and maybe even coloured. If this guy were a character..he'd be hell to draw.

Sagodjura is probably my most esteemed character, but I rarely ever draw her.

This looks like an adolescent version of her usual adult self. Apparently I had forgotten that Sa's forelegs aren't the pamprodactylous aquiline/feline/primate amalgam my gryphons normally possess-hers are supposed to be leonine.

Sagodjura's tail is lupine as opposed to leonine.

This was originally drawn in February, but I managed to dig it up while searching for pieces to display in an upcoming art show.

This is my precious Amy, sitting somewhere with a somewhat lachrymose expression. I forgot that this character isn't supposed to have a shadow.

Anubis lamenting over has jackal head.

Jesus..i mean..the Cruxshadows' "Jackal-Head" made me do it.

My favourite part is how he says "dear god", even though he IS a god.

I need to get back to drawing realistically.

An oldie but a cutie.

The way nature intended: strong, confident, and free. Unfortunately, although Lacrima lives a very happy life with her human 'father', her talons are docked to apelike 'nails', she is not allowed to see the outside world, and doesnt know how to act like a true gryphon. This picture represents her in a more mature, aware light than her true naive, childish self.

That's the original description- now that I think of it, I believe this was among my original VCL samples.

My most popular image as of now is the "td5" pic of Tourniquet..so here's a happy Lacune in a similar style.

One of my first Painter works, this gryphon is not and will never be completed. I love how his wing feathers came out, though they're not entirely accurate. This guy's from mid-late 2003.
