Badge for Tori, formerly Uranium, as she has tons of Uranium badges, but now that she's made her fursona more relevant to herself by switching to Tori, they aren't relevant anymore.

The pink is super neon in real life and the green is sparkly. I wish it scanned properly.

And here's the part where we see why ol' auntie avelacuna isn't a watercolourist, yes yes? Oh well, at least this was fun.

Dingy Tourniquet. She's in serious need of a design update. Most of the colour on her is just foreign material she's picked up... she's grey. Just grey with a bit of black.

Tourniquet the gryphon making some noise.

I should draw her more often: she's pretty in color, even though she doesn't have a finalized form...

Trade with DA's Pink-Wolfie... her fennec character Trinity in ballpoin on pretty blue parchment. This image leapt out at me almost immediately after she sent the character description! Her hair should be wavy though.. oh well.

And no, her neck is not short, it is just tucked in. I have no idea what she is supposed to be doing. Balancing? Wanting a hug?

Tsuki for DA's Lady-Hawk, leaning on a sphere of sorts. Maybe it's the moon? It would certainly be appropriate!

Another demisketch thing. Annoyed about being rushed and forgetting an assignment as a result...

Tomorrow is my mom's birthday. I'm notorious for either making her gifts she doesn't like or not making them at all. So I decided to draw her the thing she loves most: IN ADVANCE.

This is her Chihuahua. She loves it more than me, my sister, and life itself. I hate that "dog". Off topic, I know, but it's an animal so it still counts. My mom had better like this picture. If not, HEADS WILL ROLL.

VERY basic lineart for Velo's commission of himself and his mate Resin. Their markings aren't even delineated yet, but this'll be coloured.

veloresfinal.jpg

Velo's commission picture! Himself and Resin all huggy. Unfortunately the scan does it NO justice... it looks so ugly here! The real-life piece is very smooth and nice looking, in my opinion. I'm going to miss it.

Prismas, Microns, and Unis on vellum.

I had drawn this as an extra for Velo to go with his commission when he said that he would send a CD along with his payment. I was expecting 10 songs. What I got was nearly 95 times that amount. Nope, no typo or misreading on anyone's part. Almost 950 tracks of industrial, EBM, futurepop, noise and electronic goodness. Hooooly cripes.

Obviously I was damned thankful so I drew three other extras, would have done more, but I wanted to send it by Dec. 31...

Verveine's ref sheet. I might redo it.

The compression screwed it up, but that's okay.

verveine-badge.jpg

Verveine badge... for myself, of course! I'm on quite the badge kick lately and having tons of fun, so now would be a pretty good time to commission one if you were considering it,

I don't like this one nearly as much as Tori's, but at least all the colours for this one scanned properly.

verveine-badge2.jpg

The first of two badges I made to test out my new markers, also experimentation with a new badge style. I am SO happy with the way it looks in real life: VERY sparkly and vibrant.

Snarling Verveine... I was in a bit of a mood that day, for varying reasons.

I do like this... although her head is a bit small and her tale base is a bit thick, it is good for her body's structure. I'm going to colour this eventually.

Large "watermark" an effort to guard agaisnt thievery.

Why, it is a Verveine Slug! Only the most beautiful of slug varieties!

Vesper, angry for some reason. She has a much more unstable personality than Siegerin and is therefore prone to violent mood swings.

Do dogs have uvulae? I don't know.

I thought Vetiver was a cute name for a green corgi... so here one is. Wow is the head big.

One of four extras for Velo. My hand was shaking like a mad bastard when I drew this... I don't know why.

Li'l extra for Schulo.

Inked version of Newenglander123's commission pic, that border collie were. I spent SO long inking this thing... ouch!!

This'll be painty soon. Yes it will.

werebc-paintfinal.jpg
Image: werebc-paintfinal.jpg   586x900 263888 bytes 2006.03.16

Final version of Newenglander123's commission piece. Something like 9" x 12", Winsor & Newton watercolours, Derwent watercolour pencils, and Pigma Microns on Strathmore vellum.

The black border and copyright thing are obviously not present on the original, and I signed it after scanning.

werefullbody.gif

Another failed attempt at a were-body, with a much looser, sloppier ink style.

This is an avatar image I've been using pretty often as of late. He/She isn't a character of mine, just a regular ol' purple gryphon. It hides its true rivethead self beneath its purpleness though...

willow.jpg
Image: willow.jpg   400x508 54124 bytes 2005.12.04

I dug up my old Canson Mi-Teintes pad... thought I might as well get back into the swing of using coloured pencil. This is Willow the Siberian husky/Alaskan malamute, that old cannibalistic devil from my now defunct/on hiatus comic.

I don't like this. The pen is too harsh in comparison with the softness of the colouration, I think, and the drawing itself was poorly done. It's a great paper for coloured pencil though, so naturally, I'll try again.

Willow on some icky school paper... looks a lot better in real life. Big paws.

Since I have been producing virtually nothing that I can show you right now, here's some more ANCIENT ART. Though not quite so ancient as the other piece.

This is my character Willow, a portion of the last panel of a big ol' real media entry for my old comic.
Before I knew about the rainbow husky onslaught.

Cute little wingless gryphon. That's all.

wrengryph.jpg

For some reason this LITTLE thing (I think about 4" x 6") took several weeks to complete. I guess I just got bored with it.

I love Carolina wrens, especially after having the treat of five little wren chicks in my yard! They were SO cute and I still miss them. Especially Fatty, who was most likely the firstborn and the biggest and cutest and nicest of the clutch.

Do you know how great it is seeing little eggs in a nest for weeks and then one day having little fuzzy heads suddenly pop up and open their mouths at you? I love baby birds so much.

And I'm sorry for the recent dearth of updates.. I am in a little bit of a slump.

xibalbanraven.jpg
Image: xibalbanraven.jpg   825x531 93783 bytes 2005.11.08

The Xibalban raven is a species of large, bipedal, terrestrial, sapient corvid descended from a flock of ravens that entered the Mayan underworld of Xibalba and became trapped. No, they don't exist in Mayan mythology. I created them a while ago for use in a story I was writing but abandoned.

They have three fingers and two thumbs on each hand, a long, stiff feathered tail for balance, and they are capable of limited flight. They're too heavy to really fly. There is little external dimorphsm between the sexes. Both sexes adore body paint, as this image shows.

This picture is from August or so, the design of the Xibby has changed since then.

xylophagous-badge.jpg
Image: xylophagous-badge.jpg   398x500 83412 bytes 2006.06.13

Badge commission for Xylophagous, who got it ONE POSTAL DAY after I sent it. Wow!!

It is the biggest badge I've ever done. So big it couldn't fit in the envelope size I normally use for badges.
I'm quite happy with how it came out, though as usual, the scan doesn't do it any justice. The second and second-to-last letters are orange... the border is greenish. Sparkly.
