MAoI - Devilgoat & Devilram

Name left: Devilgoat

Despite being an ungulate the Devilgoat is carnivorous. It is a solitary critter living in the rocky outskirts of the desert that lead into the mountains. It hunts by stealth, although it stalks its prey on hooves rather than paws it is
an extremely successful hunter.

***

Name right: Devilram

Unlike its cousin the Devilgoat, the Devilram is rather social and lives in large herds. They are by far more ferocious though and are usually a danger to any other creature that they encounter. An exception is a special clan of Bloodhounds which shares a mysterious bond with the red beasts of the sand.

A Dish of Dragons

Looks like Maki has some friends over for dinner. *g*

I got the idea for this piece while working in the last Pocket Dragon and I simply _had_ to put it on paper.

This was meant to be one ACEO out of a series of three, but due to lack of time (or rather, due to too much stress) the series will remain uncomplete for now.

Get over here

Every now and then I feel like drawing my little Devil Hare Akuma and last week was such an occasion. :3 I put her into a more modern garnment, for this occasion, as I found some rather neat corsetts online. It's a comparably small piece (around the size of two ACEOs put together), but I am rather fond of it. I simply adore the wing design :iconloupgarou: once gave her.

She does look like a little mega lesbian in thies piece.
...
She's not though. ;p

I like to point out again, that she's a hare, not a bunny. Hence the long muzzle. X3

Those three will go to Anthro Con, where I wish I could sell them together only, but I guess that's wishful thinking. >_O

The Omega was the first to be coloured, followed by the Alpha. Beta was finished today in class. They were drawn on coloured paper my love has given me and I must say, I love the outcome of it.

Alyska's Trott

Man, I sure do hope the colours are looking alright now. I am a bit worried after I realized that there is a rather big difference in the way my laptop and my computer display stuff. o.o

Anyhow. This is Alyska, a little wolfess I adopted from MeanCheen over on DA, who had to give a whole bunch of her wolf characters away. I figured, besides the fact that I think her markings/ colours are pretty, that she might be good for anatomical and structure practise. ;D Just a little thing, wanted to try out coloured paper again. <3

Mrrrr... this is an old old character of mine: Amazoon. She's a member of warrior tribe, proud and wild and hot tempered, yet friendly. Still she's a warrior through and through.

Old picture to be seen here --> http://www.bloodhound-omega.com/gallery/2001/01_fur004.html

I always loved to draw her in really dynamic and whirling stances. Those just suit her.

This picture is actually very very special, because four artists have been working at it:

Silber helped me at various places, like her torso, the arms, the hand and the scythe.
Kajito helped me making the torso look good and readjusted her right arm for me.
And Thornwolf helped me with the feet.

^^ And I had the honour of finishing this all up.

Flight Lessons

I was given green light to publish my piece for the upcomming 2012 Rare Antho Calendar - Mythical Creatures.

I was thinking of an interesting way to display gryphons, tried to think of different cultures in which they appear to limit ideas down, but gryphons are basically known all over the world in one form or the other, so that was not a helpful concept. Somehow I then got the idea of a family-orientated piece; a grown up gryph assisting its offspring during a first flight lesson and this is what I came up with. :)

The piece was challenging, as was taking part in this project, and I certainly hope I managed to live up to everybody's expectation. 8x

Approaching Storm

Coloured a Sketch from 2006

What you can see is a male Unseeing Bloodhound. The Unseeing are a clan of desert Hounds that have reserved a special place in my heart. They are desert dwellers and can read the sand and the wind like no other. This fellow here probably has taken shelter in the canyon long ago, to now enjoy the spectacular force of nature that is rumbling towards him.

More about the Unseeing and Bloodhounds in general can be found here: http://bloodhound-omega.deviantart.com/gallery/#Arts-of-Ileyeah

Art Critics

L'art pour L'art... or something like that. XD A rather quick and tiny thing for the EF art show, to help out the staff.

I was so free to mercilessly mutlilate masterpieces for my own purpose in this picture. ;D

P.S. I just realized that this is the not entirely cleaned up version. I'm a very sorry for that and I will reupload the nice and clean version as soon as I am back at my own place.

One day I just wondered, if my two little rabbits could speak, what they would say to me ... I don't know, how I then came on THAT idea, but I like the result. Though my two little darlings can be sometimes really stupid, I love them and I'm really curious what they would tell me ...
The black sweetheart is Susie and the darling behind her is her daughter Bugsie. Bugsie's eyes turned a little bit too sad I'm afraid ...

This piece of artwork is also a sort of homage to the great artwork of Cullen/Bernal. It's just a pitty that I can't find any new artwork and no email adress of him, so that I can't write him, so this is my way to show my admiration.

My submission for the upcomming PinUp Portfolio --> http://pinupportfolio.com/

It's a rather unusual interpretation of Bastet, I guess, but I wanted to add a cat's playfulness next to its natural grace. :D

Oh, and what would old Anubis say that of all things a cat is stretching out like that on this image of him? ;)

Big Boys Five

This is a set of five black 'n white ACEOs that will be offered for sale at EF. Sheesh... I think with this my quota of felines and brawls are definitely fulfilled.

Please be gentle if I didn't get all the biceps, triceps and quadriceps spot on, I am just really not used to draw so many muscles. ^^;

My personal favourites are the Black Panther and the Lion, even though the later looks as if he has to go to the bathroom reeeeaaaal urgent. >_>'

The Tiger has unfortunately been a little bitch and refused to come out right, so I guess now he's hiding most of his pretty face in shame for that.

Sorry for the wide format btw.

Those two beachbabes are -once again- my two bunnies Susie and Bugsie. :-)
The idea for this picture is over one and a half year old and the sketch was made half a year before I could colour it. :-}

I was inspired by it during a trip to Poland. While my little brother and I were walking along the beach (yes, even Poland has got beaches, although it's always a bit windy there) we saw a family who was going for a walk with her rabbit! No joke. The little guy had a leash around his chest and was sniffing curiously through the sand.
That was one of my strangest memories of that time and I wondered how my babies would react, if they had the chance to hop across the beach. And: Tadaaaa! Here's what my weird brain produced.

Susie of course would just enjoy the sun; she's my sexy bun you know. ;-)

Big bahaaad Wolf

I dare say I love this one. XD As much it is a stupid pun and old chlichč, I love it. *ggg*

The fur of the wolf is to be blamed on Tascun somehow, because he suggested a beige colour. Since I started working on a huge piece for EF a month ago I have been studying my wolf books really hard and I don't think I will ever be able to draw a plain grey wolf. It would hurt my heart and be an insult to the complexity and variety of their fur.

Yaddayadda. Bahahaaaa! XD Heidschnuckis are fun!

bloodhoundwarrior.jpg

This is a sketch of a riding Bloodhound Warrior in old times. Before the Bloodhounds got civilized they were real war beasts.

They tamed Devil Goats to ride on them. The Goats were heavily armored and often just ran over the enemy. Hounds attatched blades to their horns and tails, which the Goat could also use to whipe away the enemy.

The riding Hound was also wearing a heavy armor and the most common weapons where spears, bow and arrow and other distance weapons. (Though Bloodhounds would never use weapons as guns)

I play with the idea of making a really huge picture out of it... or maybe I should first sketch some other ancient Hound-picture ideas?

Took a bearded vulture for the bird part and a Bloodi for the other half. *ggg*

I realy like a lot how the wings/ feathers turned out, especially as I usually can't draw them very well.
