Gelia

Gelia (pronounce the G as you would in 'Gandalf' or 'Gargoyle') is an ageless beast. She wanders between the worlds and on mental spheres, feeding on hope and despair of mankind alike. She can take life as well give it, always evening out the flow of energies. The Moon and the Sun are her sibblings and they preset her path wherever she goes...

My entry for Skulldog's contest --> http://skulldog.deviantart.com/journal/30285718/

The colouring is rather quick and without many details or structure, I actually wanted to apply cel shading, but then decided somewhat differently. Probably went overboard with the background. >_>'

La Mew

Oh my... Aubrey Beardsley would probably turn in his grave, but his art is just too delicious not to be maimed by another art experiment of mine. X3

This little forest cat lady is only about post card sized, rather smaller than that and done in traditional media (with minor photoshop twinking to get the black look more solid).

I am tempted to a male counterpart named "Le Pew" buuuut then this kitty doesn't look like Penelope at all, if you get my drift. ^^

She will be for sale at this year's MMC.

Oh noez, Emoez!

After the sparkly Bloodi-goodness I simply _had_ to do a pseudo-emo counter piece including ZliZe. Xp

He's soooo emo, dammit, he's bleeding skulls and crossbones!

Ok ok... I hurt your eyes and minds enough for the time being. Back to regular business.

Sparkle Sparkle!!!

And now for something completly different. >>'

It was meant to become Bloodi as a Sparkledog, but I think I wasn't consequent enough. He has the spiffy colours, the horrible anatomy and so forth, but he lacks the brainless assecoires and the obligatory rainbow.

After getting a good chunk of work for others done I decided it was time for something for myself again. This was a fun little project though; not more, not less. Digital inking in SAI is orgasmic btw. XO I already have a plan for something horribly emo and totally ridiculous to counteract this crime of colour.

You know what I am scared of the most? That people will actually like like this... because. >,<

One of three steampunk-themed ACEOs I did recently. The other two aren't furry enough to be uploaded here though.

I like the concept of the card and there are plans to make a larger, more detailed version of it.

Garth - fluffly Version

Just a more-or-less roughly coloured sketch of Garth in his Werewolf shape. This is mainly there for colour reference and a basic body shape.

Hope he turned out actually werewolfish and not like an anthro wolf, as it so often is the case with my weres. >_O

Garth is a character I play in an RP together with Nelena His human shape can be seen (pretty badly drawn) here --> http://bloodhound-omega.deviantart.com/art/Garth-Head-Studies-141503982

Miniature Wildlife of Ileyeah

This is a collection of eight little pieces that I will bring to EF with me this year. They are all rather small and they are definately my cheapest pieces (besides the pocket dragons), as I drew them mainly for fun and because I felt like drawing some of my critters again. If they sell it will be kick ass, if not, I know enough people who will enjoy those.

The critters on the picture are: a Camuron (first black and white piece), an Omu (the one loosing its wriggly spaghettis), a white-muzzled lemur, a Doncar (the little beaked fellow feeding himself), a Bloppard (the otterlike fellow in the middle), a Blarf (the odd Schnautzer guy ^^), a family of short-tailed glacier-trunkers and -last but not least- a male leaper.

It takes two for Tango

His dance partner seems to have deserted him... care to step in? ^^

Small piece for sale at EF. Dug out my old Water Colour Pencils for this one. I really should work with them more often...

Originally this was meant to become a pin up, but when I had him sketched out I considered his face too adorable to simply slap an ole weener onto him. So eh... guess you'll have to take him all clean as it is. ^^

A little bookmark I made for EF. :) Sadly the scanner butchered the colours and even with Photoshop I wasn't able to get it look like the original, which indeed looks prettier. I don't say that often, but in this case it really makes me kinda sad.

I don't think I will work with this paper for this con anymore. It's rather uncooperative. X)

Uhm... yeah... have some anthro arctic wolf fellas. That's all. *grins shyly*

P.S. I am considering making reproductions of that motif for purchasable bookmarks, but I am not a 100% on this yet.

Golden Twenties

After all the manly men I simply had to draw some sweet female curves again. o.o I had a small oval frame flying around for year, never knowing what to put in it, because of the shape. The I remembered Wylde's fascination for old sepia toned pin ups and so I researched a bit and I must say, I find the photos of that time artistically very appealing. Also the women simply looked more... believable, not so fake. :)

So have have some curvy bunny lady. ^^

Mainly done in Water Colours with only a few colour pencil accents.

P.S. Wow... the scan is actually larger than the original. XD

Big Boys Five

This is a set of five black 'n white ACEOs that will be offered for sale at EF. Sheesh... I think with this my quota of felines and brawls are definitely fulfilled.

Please be gentle if I didn't get all the biceps, triceps and quadriceps spot on, I am just really not used to draw so many muscles. ^^;

My personal favourites are the Black Panther and the Lion, even though the later looks as if he has to go to the bathroom reeeeaaaal urgent. >_>'

The Tiger has unfortunately been a little bitch and refused to come out right, so I guess now he's hiding most of his pretty face in shame for that.

Sorry for the wide format btw.

Little Iberian Treasure

After the amounts of details in the Alien picture I needed something small and simple as an intermezzo, so I started working on a little lineart that will be donated to this year's EF charity auction. Well and as I alearady got the lineart I thought it would be a shame to waste it and so I went ahead and slapped some colour to it. Nothing fancy, but another piece for my panel. Yay! ^^

This is my attempt of colorouing an lineart from 2007... and you know what? I am actually glad I didn't colour it back then, because I dare say I am very very happy with the result. My friend :iconPatriX: was helping me out with how to place light and shadow with this one, so alot is owed to him!

For the Sake of old Times...

This piece sadly was giving me a tough fight as the paper did like neither the water colours nor the masking liquid. *sighs* It's just a little something... nothing special, but I wanted to share it anyhow since it's the first Bloodi drawing of 2009... and the year's already half over. ;__;

Back then Bloodi used to have his spiked collar and people seemed to rather like it, so I thought I let it put him back on. You know... for sentimental reasons. ;) While we moved beyond the spiked collar I do think I will resume adding slight hilights of lilac and blue to his fur... I like that.

So there you go... have some big black hunk of Bloodhound. :)

Another acrylics on canvas painting, this time on smaller scale though. Got the idea for it after drawing --> http://bloodhound-omega.deviantart.com/art/ACEO-Golden-Tabby-Tiger-118542529

I was playing with the one or other different technique with this piece and I hope Klimt forgives me for abusing him as an inspiration for something as trivial as this. Trivial or not... I like this piece... very much. It is incredibly close to what I had in mind when the idea struck me and that's really rare....

So there... have some dots.

And squares...

ACEO - What remains are dust and ashes...

I have been asked if I wanted to contribute an ACEO for a little project that collects cards that will be reprinted and sold in order to raise awareness for the climate change and endangered animal species.

In Brazil alone more than a dozen species of monkeys are endangered, because of the loss of their living space; among them various kinds of tamarins, spidermonkeys and several sub species of the capuchin monkeys.

So I chose a spidermonkey for my card. It might not be recognizable due to the small size of the card, but the reflection in his eyes shows a burnt down forest (or at least is meant to show the same). I tried to pick up the topic without too much kitch and cliche, so I left out the tears. ;p

Veeery creative title... I know. X)

A piece from last year that I have revamped. He was one ugly fellow last year and nobody wanted to have him, so I told myself I would try to give him some cosmetic surgery here and there and make him... well... less fugly. *g* He still has some flaws and he still looks better from far away than from a short distance, but I am happy I worked on him again.

Btw. sorry for the picture quality. As the piece is 28*17 inch it somehow would not fit into my scanner. *g*

It's a rather unusual interpretation of Bastet, I guess, but I wanted to add a cat's playfulness next to its natural grace. :D

The Cutie Pie's CharacterSheet

I have been working on this since end of last year. The sketches were rather demaning, although they don't look like it, because I had to keep some things in mind, that are not visible from the outside.

Anyhow. This is a Bloodhound character for my friend somewolf and no, her name's not Cutie Pie, but she has no name yet. We have plans for her, so expect to stumble over her again in the future. :)

Felt good to do some Bloodhound art again. There's far too little comming from my direction nowadays. ;__;

Alyska's Trott

Man, I sure do hope the colours are looking alright now. I am a bit worried after I realized that there is a rather big difference in the way my laptop and my computer display stuff. o.o

Anyhow. This is Alyska, a little wolfess I adopted from MeanCheen over on DA, who had to give a whole bunch of her wolf characters away. Another piece for MMC art show and if this one's get sold it will probably hurt parting from it. The light is probably all messed up, but I don't care much as it was fun and looks neat enough. :3 Original looks slightly less "flat" than the scan, especially the skull pile.
