This is an older sketch. Some friends were over and looked through my stack of "sketches, likely never to be painted" and pulled this one out and insisted I do it--so, I figured I'd use it as a way to warm up the ol' painting muscles.

A Quick Kiss

Here's a sample of another project I've been working on! I've been doing the interior illustrations and cover for Kyell Gold's newest novel, Out Of Position. It's a good read! There is much to love--gay jock tigers, foxes in drag, a professional football career on the line if their relationship is exposed--and of course, lots of juicy scenes like only Kyell can write 'em.

MidFurX

Here's one of the things that's been keeping me busy this last week... It's a shirt design for MidFurX (Australia's largest furry convention.)

I think I found something even more tedious than watching paint dry! Vector stippling!

I actually started this piece months ago. I put masking fluid down over the jaguar, then proceeded to attempt to paint the sky. About 15 attempts and 15 layers of acrylic later, I gave up and set the piece aside.
The other day, I found the discarded piece and I figured I'd take one last stab at the sky. Perhaps time made me a bit less picky, but I figured it the newest coat looked alright. So, I took off the masking fluid that lay underneath all that paint. I had completely forgotten the subject of the painting, so imagine my surprise when there was a boob.

Lost

is scrolled in the foot-notes that I leave behind

FWA Safari

Another piece I guess I never uploaded (I suspect it's safe to now, as DragonCon has come and gone.)

This was commissioned back in July by the folks of FWA (http://www.furryweekend.com) for use on the interior cover adspace in DragonCon's convention book.
FWA's theme this year is Safari, so I figure... what would furries go see on safari? ;]

I was sort of hired on last minute and only had a couple of days to get the piece done. I wish I could have had a bit more time to work on it, but, I say that about most things.

I was cleaning out my backpack for traveling to EuroFurence yesterday and found this ancient painting I had done and then promptly forgot about. I started it about a year ago I suppose, so it looks a little dated to me, but I like the lioness' face.
I touched up a couple of things and figured I'd post it. :]

During the charity auction at OklaCon in October '07, a certain fellow won a custom Sharpie sketch on a chunk of wood by me--but since the bidding sort of exceeded what I thought a fair trade for Sharpie-on-Wood, afterward I offered to do something properly painted. So, here it is!
