squirrel_ballpit_c.jpg
Image: squirrel_ballpit_c.jpg   600x781 130530 bytes 2002.08.23

Reupload of re-edited image (2001). I took my children to a party at Chuck "E" Cheese's this past weekend, and amidst the horror that it entailed, I managed to sketch my toddler in the ballpit. We call her "squirrel" because of her lil' squirrel cheeks, and so this was the final result. Prismacolor pencils on Bristol Board. Copyright 2001 Bridget E. Wilde.\r\n

cheetah_flapper_c.jpg

"Double Happiness - Double Date" Art for the Anthrocon art show. My two skunkettes Dahlia and Orchid dressed up in cheongsams for their double date. The Chinese medallion behind them is the "Double Happiness" symbol (two of the "Happiness" character side by side). In addition to signing my name, I also added my calligraphy signature, two characters that sound sort of like my middle name. Prismacolor markers and colored pencils with Micron pen and gold gel-pen accents on Bristol Board. Copyright 2002 Bridget E. Wilde.

Image: fox_elegant_c.jpg   600x772 96915 bytes 2002.06.15

I saw a photo of this dress in a magazine (from ana exhibition) and thought it was lovely, so I had to make up a fox to wear it :) Micron pen and Prismacolor pencils (white and grey) on grey paper. Copyright 2002 Bridget E. Wilde.

fox_kimono_c.jpg
Image: fox_kimono_c.jpg   600x777 117894 bytes 2002.03.07

This has been sitting on my back burner for months; it was originally supposed to go to Further Confusion, but then I realized the mat would cover too much of the picture. The figure is loosely modeled after a photo in a Japanese-language book on sewing kimono (will add the title later when I manage to find it :)) Prismacolor markers and colored pencils with Micron pen on Bristol Board. Copyright 2002 Bridget E. Wilde.

cheetah_castle_c.jpg
Image: cheetah_castle_c.jpg   600x779 100364 bytes 2002.03.07

A cheetah stands dreamily before a seaside castle... I was trying a little different coloring effect on the cheetah than my usual. Prismacolor markers and colored pencils with Micron pen on bristol Board. Copyright 2002 Bridget E. Wilde.

cheetah_staff_c.jpg
Image: cheetah_staff_c.jpg   600x777 109770 bytes 2002.02.05

Something of an exercise, to try a different angle and different shading. I molded a crude little cheetah out of clay, wrapped its hand around a chopstick, and set it on the end table with my reading lamp shining on it for a model. Prismacolor markers and colored pencils with Micron pen on Bristol Board. Copyright 2002 Bridget E. Wilde.

fox_snowballs_c.jpg
Image: fox_snowballs_c.jpg   600x772 109247 bytes 2002.01.17

A challenge from my husband - made even more so by the\r\nfact that I haven't seen real SNOW in a couple of years\r\nnow! (Except at a distance, on the mountains...) Prismacolor\r\nmarkers and colored pencils with Micron pen on Bristol Board.\r\nCopyright 2002 Bridget E. Wilde.

Image: fox_fairy_c.jpg   600x775 113986 bytes 2002.01.17

cheetah_tulips_c.jpg
Image: cheetah_tulips_c.jpg   600x777 111389 bytes 2002.01.17

Another piece done for Further Confusion. It started out\r\nas a rendition of a $15,000 (!!!) dress from a bridal\r\nmagazine, but ended up looking very little like the source photo. (Who\r\ncan afford a $15,000 dress anyhow?) Prismacolor markers and colored pencils with Micron pen on Bristol Board. Copyright 2002 Bridget E. Wilde.

cheetah_baby_c.jpg
Image: cheetah_baby_c.jpg   699x543 106310 bytes 2002.01.17

For some reason my reds always funk out in JPEG \r\ncompression... Anyhow, a cheetah baby modeled after a\r\nphoto of my own sweet daughter Madeline, well before\r\nshe became the Princess of Darkness (also known as a\r\n2-year-old). Prismacolor markers and colored pencils with\r\nMicron pen on Bristol Board. Copyright 2002 Bridget E. \r\nWilde

cat_sakura_c.jpg
Image: cat_sakura_c.jpg   600x775 106827 bytes 2002.01.17

Unlike most grey tabbies, my cat Sakura has no black on \r\nher at all - just subtle shades of grey. I've been meaning\r\nto anthro-fy her for some time, and for some reason this\r\ncame out when I was working on stuff for Further Confusion.\r\nIt seemed natural to put her in a kimono, arranging the\r\ncherry blossoms she is named for. Copyright 2001 Bridget E.\r\nWilde; Prismacolor markers and colored pencils with Micron\r\npen on Bristol Board.

talic.jpg
Image: talic.jpg   600x779 112444 bytes 2001.09.26

Tali \r\nis the creation and property of M. Mitchell Marmel; artwork copyright (C) 2001\r\nBridget E. Wilde.
