I needed some cute and evil. Kitty with cloven hooves = very annoying on a burning wooden fence at 3am.

Based on such diverse elements as: 2 sleeping kittens, a 1 winged white pelican, hazy childhood memories of A Flight of Dragons, and the 2nd OST for Hellsing.

Yaarmilla fe Graeenormia Nasrilusa ox Zarminol, which is a mouthfull so she goes by the name Yaar. Yaar is a Jumalo, "a cloud dwelling species resembling an anthropomorphic, bat-winged frog." Commissioned by her player at MZDM.\r\n\r\nDetailed image on my web site, Mouse Haunt.

This started when I was asked to submit something to a jungle-themed fanzine. I knew that I wanted to have the Macaw wings against the jungle background because I wanted the color contrast. The back lighting snuck in almost as soon as I finished the sketch. But the most fun I had on this was using my last weeks before graduation pissing Artists off. There's an overwhelming idea of "Filters Are The Devil" among illustrators, which is only slightly better than other artists who seem to think that the computer itself is the devil. The school I've been attending isn't very keen on illustration and I've spent the last four years avoiding the people trying to politely discourage me, for my own sake I'm sure. So I chose to use filters in this picture. I actually think I used somewhere around 70 of them. And between every one of those filtered layers I would add a layer that I’d painted with the Wacom to pick out or cover up details from that filter. \r\n\r\nFilters on their own do look like crap. But filters given the right level of attention are just as effective a tool as anything else that you can use in a picture. I don’t think anyone will consider what I did a “shortcut.”

I just recently redrew this amphibious dragon that fell into my sketchbook one day. The fins aren’t used for propulsion, but for temperature regulation. The bulbs can be filled with air from a bladder next to the lungs in order to expand or compress the fins under water and take advantage of temperature variation in currents. They prefer the brackish water of estuaries and shorelines. They need to be named something more appropriate than “Water Buffalo” some day.

I don't upload the pictures I do for Master Zen Dao Meow here because I want people to go to my website dammit! Well, not really ^_~ I just don't think that most of that work will be interresting to people outside those forums.\r\n\r\nBut, I am very happy with how Hiko the firey salamander turned out. I've started inking in Photoshop and it makes me happy. If you actually want to see the other pictures I do for MZDM, go to my website :p

Here’s my little homage to the thing that made a furry artist out of me. The tail. For someone who loves contour and flowing lines, there’s absolutely no better accessory.\r\n\r\nThis tigress was truly creepy before I trimmed her stripes ^_~

We have stray cats that beg for food outside the cafeteria. All of a sudden, we have an oppossum that does too. We think he must be confused.

Tongues are evil, therefore evil creatures must have prominent tongues. Nezumi logic that is. This is Demon Lord Ewey from MZDM. His player made it a challenege to draw him. It was fun. I am proud of my glowy-eyeness.

I only upload the pictures I do for MZDM on my own webpage, but I wanted to share the ones that I made for my own characters. And of course my first character is Tamar. Obviously based on Fuseli's Nightmare.

Interrupted Snake. This is me spending far too much time with a wacom obsessing over details that you can't see except in the print. But that's what I do...

Sorry about the size, but it makes a really ineffective detail selection much smaller. Details for Interrupted Snake.

Tamar is Liz Taylor as Cleopatra in: The Satanic Rites of Giant Bloodsucking Spiders From Space!\r\n\r\nInside joke that gave me an excuse to play with bad B movie poster style ^_~ I love horrible movies.

The drawing that Cynicallia showed me of the hedgebats is highly toony. I wanted to see if I could manage to make them look more realistic.

Insidiously Cute: cute so horrible and grotesque that it can only be used as a weapon.\r\n\r\n And my other roomate was just informed that his Man-crush, Link, is just a video game character. Harsh way to crush a little boy's dream. He proceeded to refuse to use the cup of wishes on me in Secret of Mana >:)\r\n\r\n My final roomate, Ari, had the most creative threat of retirbution. I can't show her picture here ^_~ She also beat me with pillows every time I tried to edit it in photoshop.

Insidiously Cute: cute so horrible and grotesque that it can only be used as a weapon.\r\n\r\n My roomate was so offended by the sketch of Tamar that I had no choice but to assasinate her! Sadly, she is currently in the hospital due to other reasons than the cuteness. Her retribution is expected soon.

Cat on a scratching post.\r\n\r\nI'm actually very happy with my linework for this, but it's hard to see online.\r\n\r\nAlex is always telling me that I should draw porn, it's our standard "hi nice to see you" conversation. So hey, I'm not morally opposed to porn and it's just a drawing, right? Maybe I'm missing out on a deeply fulfilling experience. Well I drew the porn with the lame pun excuse for it and... nope, not missing anything ^_~ So there Alex! I drew porn for you and have something in my gallery to frighten Mom :P Now I'm gonna go sell it so I can get it the hell out of my porfolio :p

Nee’Irah is the controling force behind creativity, and is the most shy of the Kerie. Her inspiration is tentatively given and is often revealed through accident, much like her birth. She is the only Kerie that can communicate to creatures other than dragons. The legend of her birth is on my website.
