yes, I had manitou envy. I hope I managed to use enough of my own taste in this style so that it`s not just offensively similar. This was really fun to draw.

My first largely chested vixen... handy for getting those mardi gras beads.\n

Image: gargc.jpg   366x541 153465 bytes 2000.08.24

soooooo much scifi fun-ness!\n

Image: gargreetch.jpg   327x398 89186 bytes 2000.04.30

I love these drawings ^_^ Gargreetch is really sweet, but bitter about the fact that nobody comes to her for wishes. They all go to the pretty unicorns and leave the poor old woman all alone.. *wanders off on tangent*\n

Image: gato.jpg   523x521 228640 bytes 2000.04.15

She was so much more fun when she was evil....\n

Image: gator_shaman.jpg   576x720 215865 bytes 2012.09.10

He's a 'gator.. and he does shaman things in the swamp.

Image: gavisig.jpg   425x225 58246 bytes 2002.11.08

And my other character, Gavia. She's an otter/loon gryphon. She's cold and wet.

Image: ghost.jpg   299x375 44457 bytes 2000.04.06

class doddle with gel pens. I just liked the pose of the ghost cat.\n

Image: gothflare.jpg   337x359 42134 bytes 2000.04.27

ok.. if I had to like a pokemon... it would hae to be flareon. I just like the hair. So, here's my little gothic flareon.\n

Image: goylescifi.jpg   342x475 109918 bytes 2000.08.22

black and white inkiness. I think it's rather decent. I'll upload the color version soon.\n

Image: gryphfly.jpg   387x450 190612 bytes 2001.06.11

I found a picture of a bunch of seagulls fighting over something and fell in love with the wings. I don`t recomend using caligraphy paper, though. The light spots are the smooth patches where my pencils refused to burnish.

Image: Gryphic.jpg   600x462 68212 bytes 2004.02.28

\r\nNot the most heart-stoppingly original gryphon ever, but I like him. Patterns based on a saker falcon.

Image: gryphondinner.jpg   500x376 182399 bytes 2002.02.25

If you haven't noticed from my archive, I don't put much faith in the cute and fluffy representation of Gryphons. Shrinking this down really lost a lot of the inking detail.

MZDM bonus card commission for Hachi Okami's player.

Image: hairdragon.jpg   575x440 82083 bytes 2005.04.11

I was in one of those moods where you have to draw a snarly beast.\r\n\r\nHe's really into 80's death metal. Nothing rocks harder than a headbanging dragon with a mane and glowing drool. Try to stay clear of the horns, though.

Image: hedgebat.jpg   505x735 199223 bytes 2002.07.29

The drawing that Cynicallia showed me of the hedgebats is highly toony. I wanted to see if I could manage to make them look more realistic.

Image: hellkitten.jpg   283x360 62653 bytes 2003.11.07

I needed some cute and evil. Kitty with cloven hooves = very annoying on a burning wooden fence at 3am.

I don't upload the pictures I do for Master Zen Dao Meow here because I want people to go to my website dammit! Well, not really ^_~ I just don't think that most of that work will be interresting to people outside those forums.\r\n\r\nBut, I am very happy with how Hiko the firey salamander turned out. I've started inking in Photoshop and it makes me happy. If you actually want to see the other pictures I do for MZDM, go to my website :p

feel the happy bounciness and cringe :p\n

I try to keep the cute under control, but sometimes it gets away from me and rampages across the countryside devouring children.\r\n\r\nI sell prints of this.

Image: hooterroo.jpg   268x406 58775 bytes 2000.08.21

So I was in a strange mood, and the wallaby was an easy victim. My sister named this the "hooter roo".\n

Image: insidhedge.jpg   485x542 213010 bytes 2002.07.29

Insidiously cute hedgebat. They're Cynicallia's toys.

Image: insidnick.jpg   407x500 70516 bytes 2002.06.23

Insidiously Cute: cute so horrible and grotesque that it can only be used as a weapon.\r\n\r\n And my other roomate was just informed that his Man-crush, Link, is just a video game character. Harsh way to crush a little boy's dream. He proceeded to refuse to use the cup of wishes on me in Secret of Mana >:)\r\n\r\n My final roomate, Ari, had the most creative threat of retirbution. I can't show her picture here ^_~ She also beat me with pillows every time I tried to edit it in photoshop.

Image: insidtam.jpg   419x500 141844 bytes 2002.06.23

Insidiously Cute: cute so horrible and grotesque that it can only be used as a weapon. First victim, my own character, Tamar.

Image: ippy.jpg   373x550 84419 bytes 2001.02.02

Oh oh! It's not a kitty with spots! Hehehe I drew this for Ippy because I like the design, and the fact that character actually seems to feel something.

Image: isheangel.jpg   336x560 48583 bytes 2003.04.20

This started when I was asked to submit something to a jungle-themed fanzine. I knew that I wanted to have the Macaw wings against the jungle background because I wanted the color contrast. The back lighting snuck in almost as soon as I finished the sketch. But the most fun I had on this was using my last weeks before graduation pissing Artists off. There's an overwhelming idea of "Filters Are The Devil" among illustrators, which is only slightly better than other artists who seem to think that the computer itself is the devil. The school I've been attending isn't very keen on illustration and I've spent the last four years avoiding the people trying to politely discourage me, for my own sake I'm sure. So I chose to use filters in this picture. I actually think I used somewhere around 70 of them. And between every one of those filtered layers I would add a layer that I’d painted with the Wacom to pick out or cover up details from that filter. \r\n\r\nFilters on their own do look like crap. But filters given the right level of attention are just as effective a tool as anything else that you can use in a picture. I don’t think anyone will consider what I did a “shortcut.”

Insidiously Cute: cute so horrible and grotesque that it can only be used as a weapon.\r\n\r\n My roomate was so offended by the sketch of Tamar that I had no choice but to assasinate her! Sadly, she is currently in the hospital due to other reasons than the cuteness. Her retribution is expected soon.

Image: jag.jpg   441x500 165355 bytes 2001.01.18

I am incredibly proud of this one. I did a lot of experimentation that I think paid off really well. Jaguar in the dry grasses ^_^ She looks pretty grumpy at being woken up from her nap. That tail is not in the happy bodylanguage of cats.

Image: japkat.jpg   446x606 111112 bytes 2000.04.09

It's a staple of Japanese literature that when Spring comes around, young women and children go out at night and catch fireflies on their fans. They put everything on a fan...\n
