In the rpg, she lost her mouth, an eye, and some fingers (an' horns too) when she got stuck at the park during winter. Vandles disfigured her stone-cased body. When she awoke, she could do nothing but cry from her only eye.

In real life, Snape tried to eat Drifter when he was born, that is why Drifter has only one eye. Dende was already dead, so he never got to met Snape or Drifter
