I'm quite happy with this one. Inspired by the warm, spring like song "An Spailpin Fanach" a traditional song in Gaelic

From some random poetry. Was in an esoteric mood. Among dreams and lost ambition. In honor of Edward Gorey

As an aspiring traditional musician, I've been playing folk music for 5+ and listening to it for 3 times that length. Unlike more fortunate students, my teachers were the ghosts that came in the form of vinyl records. mostly men and women who died at least 20 years ago. But they achieved a humble mortality through their musical endevours. This piece was inspired by those indirect ghosts.

Image: ceilidhCLCP.jpg   675x480 170312 bytes 2005.11.27

lots of brights here in this piece of folk art. a sample at how well I fare in the graphic design market. It got 4 phone calls at school, but recieved a modest grade. There are 3 musicians here\r\nemail me at if you can tell what the three traditional irish instruments being played here are. You get a con badge if you do so acurately

Image: Slox.jpg   721x855 202591 bytes 2005.11.27

Done in part of an art trade with artist Slox

wouldn't be fun to be followed around by thousands of flesh eating beetles?\r\nmaybe if you were in a pinch like a bar fight or an argument with republican relatives\r\nMy unworked Scarab girl comic was to answer some of these questions

Image: VixenCloudGS.jpeg   540x728 97341 bytes 2004.04.12

\r\nQuadraped Vixen on a cloud ala Far East folklore.\r\n\r\nTo the inspiration,\r\nThank you Teeka

Image: TheFoxDen.jpeg   700x989 202606 bytes 2004.04.12

A tattered watercolour I did while in Oregon. The foxden was my tent in which I put this picture on the front \r\nflap of. There where three other tents there and I wanted to set mine apart in an interesting way. \r\n

Image: DemonStanSketch.jpeg   590x669 88525 bytes 2004.04.12

\r\nA sketch of Demon Stan.\r\nThe evil replicant of my Stan Andollo character

Image: FelixNewAge.jpeg   500x725 95586 bytes 2004.04.08

Yes...there is a common theme here.\r\n\r\n\r\nThis marks the first time I used Faber Castell. I found them in a Fred Meyer in Florence Oregon. I had never seen them\r\nanywhere else at that point. I tried them once and fell in love very quickly.\r\n\r\nSerena this time. probably the first of the "backside" set.\r\nStill, a lovely view from behind of my Irish vixen\r\n\r\nThe Original ink of "FelixNewAge". A lot cleaner that the colour version and just seems to have a better "grip" to the eccentric acousticness of it

Image: Hawkman2.0.jpeg   600x979 175808 bytes 2004.04.06

Hawkman again. In a bit more animated pose. I really liked how the shades and tones worked out with this one.

Image: Zelda1920's.jpeg   600x839 226196 bytes 2004.04.06

Some inspiration found me on a trip out to the ocean. This was started months earlier, but I was swept into finishing\r\nit when I was sitting amongst the sand. It came from watching a series of silent films. Another one of Zelda,\r\nusing an old two piece telephone. Who would Zelda have to talk with in the 1920's? Bohemian's, probably:)

Image: ZeldaOldStyle.jpeg   600x761 203274 bytes 2004.04.05

My wolf, Zelda again. inspired by Slavic art and music. Done using the last few drops of a Rapidograph\r\npen I started using 3 years ago, but was buried since then. amazingly, the ink had not dried out.

Part 3 of "The Nomads"...she is a squirrel, by the way

Image: Nomads2.jpeg   486x900 159143 bytes 2004.04.04

Part 2 of the "nomad" comic

Image: Nomads1.jpeg   600x825 159734 bytes 2004.04.04

Came out during a camping trip to Oregon. Got thinking about what would the world be like if there was one, massive \r\nnomadic tribe comprised of over a 50,000 individuals that spanned the globe. A tribal society that is still\r\nfunctioning in modern times. was interesting when I wrote it, at least. This is part one of a three page \r\ncomic where two male tribe members are debating how easy it would be to win the affections of a female (topless, no less)\r\nNo real dialogue here
