Done while in a bout of depression. I felt the most vunerable in my entire life at that point in time. I also felt my "wings" even more then before. There was a poem that went with this. But, not only did the orignal picture get ruined, it got ruined with soda, cola to be exact. I still have the piece, but the ppaer is all wrinkled and no amount of photshop work seems to fix it. There has been a debate on what excatly defines Furry artwork from Were-beast artwork. Some of the more primal-sided artists have gotten all huffy and nasty when it comes to this, and many of the not so nice furry artists have had their voice in defending their side of this "arguement". There are artists of all types, and this was inspired from seeing such a debate posted on different message boards I visit. It is a parody, and not ment to point at any particular artist. This is a test for a new style wherein the rough sketch, and mind you it is a fairly rough one, it thrown into photoshop and "cleaned up" as a water-color. The hawk is my representation of my boyfriend, and the character is copyright © 2000 HLBryant.

Entitled "Flight" This is a tablet-used, digital painting. It is of a wyvern dragon-wolf. Basic colors were used, as I was going for a very simplified Impressionistic feeling to the image. There are parts to it that I like and other parts that I don't like. ;)

The piece is a random sketch-doodle. One of the few I have finished with shadow and lighting. Its of two wolves in an affectionate embrace, symbolizing dakness and light. While below them, a draco-morph/wyvern wearing an Anubis mask floats a black-flame ahnk (sp), cupped by its wing. The Wyvern is rising from mist-flames of creation. I deleted the edges of this after the scan and clean up to give it a more "bordered" effect so it didn't look sloppy as it was done in pencil.

If anyone can tell me who the Photographer is, I'd be highly appriecative. :D This was a work done for one of my classes in college. Learning about layout, and the quality needed for good "ink copies". I have it also posted in Elfwood and about 3 yrs later someone recognized it ;). This was done as a comission piece for a wyvern I met a while ago. Discourse (talking with/lsitening to, for you perverts ;") ) with a Wyvern is its title. Its one of the few pieces I have actually inked to any satisfaction.
