EquineXChange - Aryden

Just finished this, been working on it around 5 am :3\r\n\r\nFor EquineXChange on LJ, for manivest_envour. Her char, Aryden.\r\n\r\nThis scanned like SHIT. I scanned it 3 times, but because I was an IDIOT and didn't leave it taped down long enough while the watercolors dried n_n\r\n\r\nI always use exchange pieces to experiment. Experimented with watercolors. I know I need to improve on male anatomy, too n__n\r\n\r\nThe gold is shiney IRL.\r\n\r\nPrismacolor markers & pencils, paint markers, and water colors on cardstock...

Dreamy's new feral form...\r\n\r\nShe's blue-black now. With kudu horns and bat wings. Version 1.0. This is the first time I completed a picture of it...done in Prisma colored pencils, watercolor and Prisma inking pens (!!!) on illustration board as a "children's book illustration" for Advanced Illustration at school XD Lulz. Turned a personal piece into an assignment.\r\n\r\nA lot has happened this past year that's made me want to bring on this change more than ever...been thinking on it for several years and just made it happen sort of.\r\n\r\nLooks much better in person, I assure you. Unicorn - Pointillism

Another assignment at school that is too large to be scanned. 14 x 20 on illustration board. Pointillism done in Micron of a unicorn, done sometime in early 07.

Winged Feline

Not exactly sure when I did this, there's a date on the art itself but the physical piece is at school. I believe the dimensions on this are something like 14 x 20\r\n\r\nPhoto taken by my friend, Amy, in the studio at school, as it's too big for a scanner. Some sort of winged cat I did straight with markers...done completely in dots. Was an assignment.

Epic Dragon

\r\nI consider this my masterpiece, though it's far from it.\r\n\r\nI had never spent so much time on a piece of art before. This thing has over 50 hours of work into it, between school, work, staying up late, etc. I had 2 or 3 weeks to do it.\r\n\r\n18 x 24 illustration board\r\n\r\nNo, his front legs aren't too short. Maybe I'll upload the sketch I did that shows the way he walks. When he stands on the ground, his back knee would be even with his elbow. I don't know how else to explain it :x\r\n\r\nWatercolor, colored pencil, micron and a few dabs of orange acrylic paint. But it's 98% colored pencil, watercolor was just a base.

Dragon and Unicorn - Cross hatching

Cross hatching assignment I did for school sometime early last year/late 06.\r\n\r\nI'm not very fond of it myself (the unicorn and background look obviously rushed) but it remains one of my professor's favorites...for whatever reason, and that's all that matters :P

Mother Earth

This is why I don't scan things in two parts :P I can never get it to mesh together right...\r\n\r\nThis looks wonderful in person, obviously. Prisma pencils, prisma markers for the base, and micron inks on 11 x 14 Bristol board.\r\n\r\nHollso's lovely earthy pegasus character :) She wanted a spring timey bg...it irratates me that my scanner does not pick up ANY details I put into the flowers or anything. A new scanner will be in my future. :/

The Courtesan

Took me almost a month to do this. Done to commemorate my 5th anniversary of seeing Moulin Rouge. \r\n\r\nDreamaria, in the red room. I tried scanning it in several parts and was not satisfied with how it looked...so I scanned the center. The persian rug there at the bottom extends to the end of the page and is actually quite detailed, but it almost looks better cropped because I think the light blue took away from the red room aspect anyway :/ Also scanned a bit grainy...fixed it up a bit in photoshop, but is obviously much less grainy in person. Commission for my friend, Sari.\r\n\r\nI apologize for the long wait! x___x\r\n\r\nShe originally wanted a digital commission, but I really fail at digital coloring. Just don't have the patience to stare at the computer screen for hours. She also originally wanted me to do anthro versions of them, but somewhere along the line she gave me the freedom to do whatever as long as it features her character, Corbeau, and my fursona, Dreamaria :3\r\n\r\nSo here they are running through some kind of arctic/winter scene at sunet or sunrise.\r\n\r\nThe snow and sky look SO much better in person. This is for Lacuna Coil's "In A Reverie" album, though the art itself was inspired by Within Temptation's song "The Howling".\r\n\r\nI'm pretty happy with how this turned out.
