Sam loves to bite unsuspecting passers-by from strategic hiding places under furniture!

Alright, I confess - the flower isn't mine! My mother gave me an ooooold sketchbook of hers (when she bothered to take the time, she was a VERY talented artist!), and one page had a few loose paintings of flowers. This one just screamed to have something cute to go with it, so I added a cherubic Sammy. It's pretty apt - the RL Samson loves to smell the roses - or tulips, or anything else!

Sam actually curled up in this position the other day, tucking his paws under his chin. He's such a cutie when he wants to be!

Sammy has a sweet tooth (and it's not, apparently, the one he broke ;), and he loves pastry. My parents regularly buy applebarrels from a local bakery, and Sam always demands his share. If they were to refuse - well, I think this is the look Sam would give 'em. ALL YOUR APPLEBARRELS ARE BELONG TO US!

A girl wearing too much perfume sat next to me in class the other day. It set off my allergies, and made for a truly miserable hour. I felt like Sammy, who hates perfumes - so I used his likeness to express my dismay. ;)
Be courteous, people - think of others before you douse yourself in scent, especially if you will be sitting on the bus, or in class, or in any other situation that keeps you in close proximity to others. Not everyone shares your taste in stench!

I've wanted to try this style for a while, so I drew Sammy from a picture I'd taken of him lounging on my dad's computer monitor. I wanted him to look like the smug, fat cat he is, but I think his cheeks and ears are a little pointy. Still a fun pic. =) Believe it or not, this is just watercolor pencils, not chalk, on black construction paper.

Drew this on easter - while decorating eggs, we began joking about how white and fluffy Sam can be, like a little lamb...before letting his lion side show, and biting the hand that feeds him!

WOOHOO! My first picture here on VCL! I'm SO happy! =) <controls herself> Ahem...This is a furry depiction of my RL cat, Samson. He's actually a bit pudgier IRL. ;)

I need practice with facial expressions, so I've been using pictures of Sam lately, exaggerating his features to get a more anthro look. This one is based on a photo of Sam chewing on a treat. =)

More practice with facial expressions! Sam just got a whiff of my mother's Chanel No. 5. It's a fine perfume, but a better cat repellent. ;)
