I drew the outfit first, and added the cat-lady later.

Rather than just tracing pencil outlines with pen, I've been trying to learn how to really ink things, changing the thickness of the lines and such. I think it's helped in this pic - it lends a vague impression of action, like he's actually moving. =)

It's such a silly picture, I didn't think I'd ever bother coloring it - but I still find the idea of Prozac in a frilly apron hilarious! I couldn't resist coloring such cuteness. ;)

At the zoo the other day, a bunch of kids were mocking the tapirs for being so strange looking - but I think they're rather cute! =)

<screams from the rooftops> I LOVE THIS PICTURE! This is as close to perfect as I've *ever* managed - at last, a picture almost free of truly glaring anatomical flaws (Oh, stop nitpicking already! ;), and with some practice in successful clothing folds, too! And I think she's totally gorgeous...her figure is a perfect blend of healthy muscle and soft curves. <sighs dreamily> I hope I can come up with more pics this good in the future!

<smile> She's really pretty, isn't she? I've loved clydesdales since I was a kid, and always pretended I was one when I'd play 'horsie' with my friends in kindergarten. <blush> Guess I haven't grown up much, huh? ;) Face and coloration were inspired by the Breyer clydesdale mare.

I really love the way the folds of his T-shirt came out; I think it looks rather realistic!

Lonesinger is a wolf-desha, a semi-real, semi-spirit creature with a wolflike appearance. He's one of Fire's companions in my old story idea. As his name implies, he's kinda solitary by nature, and he tends to wander off on his own when he gets lost in thought.

<blushes and hides behind something> Well, that's me...Or, at least, the semi-furry was I tend to picture myself, with hooves (that my scanner cut off) and expressive, horse-like ears. I drew this while in class one day, and decided - for realism's sake - to draw exactly what I was wearing that day, too. So...there ya go! <pulls the covers over her head>

It was so cool - I finally got around to finding a beach by my apartment the other day (I've only lived here, what, six months?!), and I saw anemones, hermit crabs, great blue herons, and even a river otter! The otter was utterly unafraid of me, and even caught a fish while I was watching! He hauled it up onto the bank and ate it just a few feet away from me. I had to draw him. =)

Just as in real life, Fire helps fix all the minor injuries life inflicts on The Ick. Old cars need a lot of maintenance!

I wanted to do a comparisson between Fire's quad and anthro forms. I like the way the anthro form came out, but I'm not fond of the quad form - her face and mane are especially out-of-whack. It just doesn't look like her. =P Oh well, I'll have to try again!

Alright, this is downright scary - I found this picture buried in notebook. This is Fire (in human form, obviously) and an Iloj-like dragon in a terrible green color, from when I was *thirteen*! I can't stop staring at the horror! ;)

This may be a first - this dragon is actually my car! IRL, The Ick is a 1985 red Buick Skyhawk (look, I'm poor, OK? ;)), that originally said 'BUICK' in big, silver letters across the trunk. It was missing the U when I bought it, though, so I pried off the 'B' and christened it The Ick.
I've never been able to decide whether Ick is male or female - I think shi's both, actually. The Ick is really a sweet and loyal little car, but getting up there in years, and rather cranky if things don't go her way. If I give hir cheap gas, for example, shi attempts to spit the gas tank out. ;)
With a car with such personality, I thought it was appropriate, if eccentric, to draw hir as a fantastical creature. =)

More canid expression practice...

I have trouble with male torsos, especially pecs and abs. This one turned out relatively well, actually...I think he's rather attractive. =)
