Meet Alouicious! This is the original, concept sketch of my male calico cat cha. Since color in domestic cats is carried on the X chromosome, normally only females (with two Xs, obviously) are calico; however, on VERY rare occasions, an XXY male with an extra chromosome comes around. They're usually sterile, but Alouicious is that one-in-a-million exception - a properly formed male calico! He's adorable; I love him!

And now for something completely different; an owl-woman! I rarely do birds, 'cause I don't have enough patience to do feathers.

Ain't he sweet? =) I did a series of dragons that looked something like this a couple of years ago. I didn't save any of them, but I decided to reproduce my former attempts at cuteness. I like him a lot!

Highbelly_Cropped.JPG
Image: Highbelly_Cropped.JPG   452x711 40991 bytes 2003.02.02

Something a little different: a good-natured but rough-spoken "redneck" ursine furry, Highbelly.

Bear_Family_2.JPG

Another view of my ursine family portrait! Mom is holding the cable box remote (since her favorite pasttime is watching TV), my father is holding a camera and wearing his photography jacket (he hopes to be a professional some day, and I think he might!), I'm holding a toy mouse for Sam to play with, and my brother is leaning on my mother. He loves to rub in the fact that she's now the shortest member of the family. ;) Incidently, it's hard to tell in this pic, but that's just spiky hair on top of my bro's head. He's probably had a crew cut for a decade or so now!

The promised final version of last year's Xmas present for my mom! See the preliminary sketches in my "sketches" folder. Back row, left to right: my mother, brother, and father. I'm the one sitting in front, playing with the family cat, Samson. Polymer clay over foil armatures, with some details in acrylic paint.

Augh! It's so old, it *hurts*!
Anyway, despite it's age and crappiness, I still somehow have a soft spot for this picture. I dunno why. It's my cha., Firebringer, posing in her normal form with her best friend/sidekick, a firedrake named Iloj (Eee-loj).

Anthro Fire summons her element!

Ain't she pretty? =) Practice with exaggerated backs. I think she broke her wrist, tho.

Sweet_Catboy.jpg

Random cat-boy, crouching. Ain't he cute?

Color_Swimming_Hippocampus.JPG

I realized that I'd never drawn a hippocampus, so...I did! Sketch pens and acrylics, this time.

Bright, isn't she?

Fiona Fetzgittle, the Fennec Fox. I was feeling very alliterate that day. ;)
I like her tail. =)

The required Moody Werewolf pic. ;)

Color_Springer.JPG
Image: Color_Springer.JPG   480x826 35305 bytes 2003.01.31

Drawn as I watched the coverage of Springer, the orca who was orphaned in Puget sound last year. It was a great effort to reunite her with relatives in the waters off British Columbia, and although some people complained about how much money it cost (though I doubt they would've complained if it was an orphaned HUMAN), I think it was a wonderful event. So here's Springer, a young, anthro Orca.

Anubis_at_the_Scales_Cropped.JPG

I'm a history major, and Egyptian history especially fascinates me. I found a picture of scenes from the Book of the Dead in a book on heiroglyphs, and decided to draw Anubis at the scales, weighing the heart of the deceased against the sacred feather. I like it; it looks very Egyptian, even if I did run out of paper to draw the baboon at the top.

Unicorn_Goddess_Cropped.JPG
Image: Unicorn_Goddess_Cropped.JPG   846x486 50553 bytes 2003.01.31

A headshot of the Goddess for a story I'd intended to write since I was in sixth grade. I still haven't written it, and I may never get to it...but that's OK. ;)

Kinda makes you wonder about her parents, doesn't it? ;) Pens and watercolor pencils.

ExtraFurryFire.jpg
Image: ExtraFurryFire.jpg   465x877 40323 bytes 2003.01.30

An anthro version of my normally four-legged charachter and namesake, Firebringer. She's furrier than I usually draw her, but I kinda like it. =)

BarbaryLion.jpg
Image: BarbaryLion.jpg   491x792 52997 bytes 2003.01.30

A very random lion-woman who appeared in my sketchbook some time ago. On a whim, I colored her fur a bit darker than a 'regular' African lion would have, so I decided that she's a Barbary lion. Pen and watercolor pencils.

BornThatWay.jpg

The product of all those mixed-race Yiffy pictures! This is Ky (think about it...yep, your dirty mind is right, that *is* what she's named after ;), a wolf-elf hybrid. Her father was a furry canid porn star, and her mother was an elf who decided to make money starring in yiffy movies. The result was Ky - not elf enough for elf society, nor furry enough to feel comfortable with her father's kin. Now a teenager, Ky is a bitter loner.

ArcticUnicorn.JPG
Image: ArcticUnicorn.JPG   496x432 21354 bytes 2003.01.25

A unicorn from a frozen environment; he has short legs for heat retention, wide, cloven hooves with soft pads to work as snowshoes, and, of course, a thick fur coat. Old sketch, but I still like the concept! Arctic unicorns {c} me!
