Dachshund Tagua Pendant

A custom pendant commission of a longhaired dachshund. I really like dachshunds a lot, my parents have a black and tan named Zelda. They call her Zellie, though, which amuses me to no end since it sounds just like the Czech word for cabbage. With how little and round she is, it's rather fitting. ;)

Doozy Dog Husky Wine

A custom label I created from a sumi painting (with awesome help from Blotch for the colorization and text! ). This was a gift for the fantastic guys at Sofawolf (http://sofawolf.com) who were kind enough to host Mbala and I as guests at their amazing Thanksgiving feast. (If you've never checked out Sofawolf's stuff before, go take a look! They publish many great anthro-oriented comics and books).

I didn't make this wine myself, just the label, but I'm going to try my hand at brewing mead sometime soon!

Playbow Husky Drum

10" drum, deerhide over a pine frame. I am showing the back this time (since I get asked about those a lot!) - this is a simple style back. I also have drums with a much more complex backing and double-sided drums that have side lacing instead. Yes, I made this particular drum :)

Sold at the MFF artshow 2008. I'm so happy it found a good home! And with husky owners to boot!

Tribal Raccoon Tattoo

An older commission for a tribal style raccoon tattoo.
There is symbolism of fire as well as five rings on his tail relating to the native american story of 'How Raccoon Got His Stripes'. You can read a version of the legend here: http://www.pacifier.com/~ascott/fic.....ns/raccoon.htm

I really enjoy doing tattoo design in a variety of styles. I don't usually use this more general 'tribal' design but I really liked the results!

Double Camel Pendant

A custom pendant commission of two camels - a bactrian and a dromedary. I always keep these guys apart in my head by using B - which looks like two humps (bactrian) and D - looks like one hump (dromedary). :)

Raven's Pearl Sketch

Cats of North America_ Cougar

The cougar goes by many names - Puma, Catamount, and Mountain Lion to name a few. This beautiful, graceful cat is the largest feline native to the United States.

Kalak - Maned wolf pendant

The kalak, or maned wolf, isn't actually a wolf- it's not closely related to any currently living canines at all! Though it is sometimes called a 'fox on stilts', it is not a fox either.
This was a custom designed pendant where the commissioner requested some coloration on the glyph image. I think it turned out really fantastically in person!

This pendant was a commission for Canislupusfrax, who was a wonderful commissioner to work with!

Two Fawns Tagua

A custom tagua commission of two fawns. Shown many times actual size - true dimensions are about 1 3/4" x 1 1/2". This is an example of tagua that will be mounted and framed as opposed to being made into a pendant/necklace.

I love deer, they are so cute. :)
