Marbled Luminescence: In another Light

Sometimes things look different in another light.

I don't usually like uploading multiple images of the same art, but the black light qualities would be hard to capture elsewise, so I hope my audience forgives me.

When choosing a subject to play with for my experiment here, I chose the marbled polecat, because it's colorful and gets far too little furry love

It puzzles me that marbled polecats aren't more popular.

This is a very mixed media work, done in coloured pencil, watercolour, marker, and ink... oh and touched up with the Gimp too. phew!

Snargle badge

Textless watercolor badge for my character in an rpg I'm in.

I chose an odd pose, in that the character is such a sweet, lighthearted, jovial little guy, and he can't really hold his serious toughguy face for very long.

I usually add a touch of acrylic or ink to add contrast to parts of a watercolor painting, but in this case it seemed fine as is.

Forged from the darkness itself, breathed to life with pure negative energy and imbued with the feral consciousness that permeates the darkest nightmare lands of the faerie realm, his name... is Bunbuns.

I used black watercolor paint and white watercolor, focusing more on capturing the spirit of the subject than its physical form (which can be a little elastic anyway in this case)
