Darkstar was a girl I met in icq. We were never truly friends and I didn't know her beyond her nickname and her relationship to one of my friends. Well, she was killed by a drunk driver and her boyfriend asked me to draw a pic of her character. So, here she is. \r\n\r\nCirca: 2000\n

I always wanted to do a comic and this was my first try at actually putting one together. I got as far as doing all the pencil sketching for the first issue but had to throw it out because of a major change in the story and development of the characters. If you asked anyone who is close to me which is my favorite movie, they will answer (rolling their eyes and smiling faintly): Contact. \r\n\r\nIs not like I talk about it a lot or have seen it hundreds of times ... well maybe .. BUT .. is a good movie and makes you think. The first time I saw it I wanted to do a picture about it. This is the result.\r\n\r\nCirca: 1998 \n

I kinda, sorta, understood layers by the time I did this pic but not quite. I'm mexican, you see, and I wanted to portray Lady Kam in a mexican dress, or something real close to it. No wings yet, but at least I got the hair sorta right ;p \n

Photoshop!, of course, having photoshop, doesn't mean knowing *how to* use it. This was my very first time coloring with it. I admit I went overboard with the texturing part. I didn't know a hoot about layers and the whole pic is crying lighting effects! ... at least there is shadows in it :)\r\n\r\nOh btw, this is my winged coyote character, Lady Kam. I know she doesn't have wings in this pic and she didn't get them in a picture until fairly recently because I didn't know how to draw them ... doesn't mean I do now but at least I'm showing them in the newer stuff :)\r\n\r\nCirca: 1998\n
