God, this picture took forever to finish. Couldn't decide on a pattern, kept screwing up her makeup, colors bled everywhere... ARGH. I am very happy with her kimono - that came out great.
The idea here was that her tentacle-do looked a lot like a maiko's, so I drew her in a maiko furisode.

Please note - her costume is TOTALLY not accurate. Don't use it as a reference! The "More Info" button will lead you to Mboogiedown's Flickr gallery - THOSE are real maiko and geisha!

So... yeah. Junko is my attempt at an octopus girl that (in my opinion) didn't look dumb. I suppose she's more of an octopus-alien-thing than just plain octopus... But hell.

This is the result of thinking about Blue Submarine No. 6, looking at some fanarts for Evangelion and thinking about the books "Bio Rescue" and "Afterburn" by SL Viehl. So... Junko is an intersetller pilot.
