Uh. Yeah. I dunno. I've been in a gloriously-retarded mood lately. Lots of fluff and flowers and shit like that. I've gone 'hee' more times than I really should be allowed. I dunno. I'm terribly confused about the whole ordeal.\r\n\r\nAttempting to digitally paint using a mouse? Not so smart an idea. Mmmhm. |

HAY LOOK GUYZ! A DRAWING!!!1111oneoneoneELEVEN\r\n\r\nUh. I dunno. It's just Blitz, my 4-armed, green-skinned-but-don't-dare-call-her-She-Hulk Goddess; about to put a hurtin' on something. She and my her other equally-bizarre cast are from 'Strange Gods, a companion peice to 'Machinations'. When I started the latter novel and developing its characters I severely neglected those from 'Strange Gods', so I'm changing gears to give myself something different to think about.\r\n\r\nShading's borked, the inking is horrendous, and I hate drawing backgrounds. |

Hey, drawing! I remember now. That's the stuff I used to do. Yeah. When all my creativity wasn't being sucked out of my ears. Yep. It's all comin' back now.\r\n\r\nAnyway. Old picture of Kayley I salvaged from an old sketchpad because I liked the concept. Slapped some ink and color on it, and boombam. The idea once again looks much better in my head - that of my ginormous Were-Tiger Kayley deciding to mark her territory with a can of Krylon and random Japanese-styled emoticons of cat faces. (I think I've neglected to add any artwork of my beloved lil' miss Kayley here. Go figure, considering she was my first 'official' anthropomorph.) |

Poor Hachi-dono. He always seems to be the victim of my wonton and unmitigated spurts of random creativity. Another attempt at digital toning/greyscale coloring, once again on Hachiman the Tanuki. I'd been thinking about doing these manga-ish pages for each character in 'Machinations' (the novel in which Hachiman makes his appearance), and Hachiman was the first one I decided to try. The only problem is that Hachiman here is about 60 years younger than he is in the storyline itself. O_o; Crap. I s'pose I can always go back and give him his mustaches and gray out his topknot.\r\n\r\nLook Ma! A panel full of implied action! Yay for gross misuse of speed lines!\r\n\r\nDrawn in Sakura Microns, toned to death in Photoshop. Tones and speed-line brushes are custom-made. Hachi-dono ish mine. |

I'd been swearing since the beginning of December that I was going to break out the paints and paint up my little white kitty cat Moon in the fashion of a candy-cane. Of course, Moon, being my other cat Friday's daughter, would most likely have nothing of it. Last time I held her down to do something I lost about 3 pints of blood and the poor dear refused to come out from under my sister's bed for hours. Ow.\r\n\r\nSo, instead, I figured I'd get her all festive-looking in a much safer manner - yet still, Moonie doesn't look too thrilled about the whole ordeal. This is my first attempt at using Prismacolor pencils, so it could use much improvement, considering all I've been doing is CG. |

I pretty made this up as I went along - saw the combo for this month's art competition and had to do it. The tail is dreadfully stumpy though. Took me about a half and hour to draw, and about 4 to color from start to finish. The background is cheapy-weapy.\r\n\r\nCompression killed the .jpg. Ugh. |

This is what happens when you throw a newt, a salamander, a gecko, and a poison dart frog into a blender, then add a pinch of dinosaur. ...Probably makes a tasty soup. ...Or a new race of adorable little critters. Whichever.\r\n\r\nThey're short and brightly colored. They're also amphibious, using their tails and hands to propel themselves. The single webbed digit is a natural mutation - it is incredibly strong, and has an extreme range of motion for swimming purposes. Other than that, it functions as a normal digit. In addition, they can cling to surfaces using the pads on their hands and feetses.\r\n\r\nAnd as to what 'they' are, I have no idea. Haven't named 'em yet. But they're still © me. |

....\r\nAaalllrighty. Reason one why drinking and drawing is a hazard. Was takin' a nip off the ol' bottle last night, and I recall issuing a challenge to myself - to draw something cute, heavily anime-influenced, and with a floofy tail, and to color it in the morning. In striving to fit in with everyone else ::cough:: I chose a Red Panda. Jesus... the sketch and notes could've given Jackson Pollock a run for his money. \r\n\r\nFuckin' thing gave me a toothache just lookin' at it. Innit he cute! ::squee:: Methinks I'm gonna call him Limbo.\r\n\r\nPretty pleased with this overall, although the shading got icky after compression. Can't tell if those orange things are hair or horns. Hm. And his scythe is rather bland (and I'm usually rather excellent when it comes to designing them). He's awesome enough to warrant keeping him around as a full-time character, rather than just a Harroween doodle. I think he's a ghostie cross between a bat and a reptile. And don't ask me how he can stick his tongue out while his mouth is closed. Ghostly perk, I suppose.\r\n\r\nLimbo © Faia/Guitargoyle. Yer free to draw 'im, though, if ya wanna. |

Oboy. Lemme explain here. The spastic wulfie ya see here is Crazy Fang. Crazy Fang, normally a non-'morphic large grey wolf, was my imaginary friend as a child. (Well, he was one of several of my imaginary pals.) Like his name would indicate, he's one craaazy motherfucker. I decided to give 'im a 'morphic form (while the cable was out during a tornado), and somehow he wound up rather chibi-fied, weilding a poorly-drawn gee-tar. The coloring is ALL whacked out, mainly because I decided to attack it viciously with the Dodge & Burn tools. -_- Eh well. Aside from that, I rather like the pose (and his expression - RAWR!). I'll draw a better one later - I've got two more characters to do first. |

...ya know, I consider myself a relatively intelligent Gargy, but I fuckin' love a good fart joke. XD!!!\r\n\r\nDrawn at about 3 in the AM last night with a Sharpie marker (hence the thick lineart), while sitting at the computer. Inspired by a conversation I was having with a friend of mine concerning a certain avian crime-fighter's 'slogan', which turned into a gut-busting (pun not intended, really) riot of toilet humor. The mullet-ed wonder wishes to remain nameless, but wanted to have a set of Caracal ears smacked onto his head. Go figure. |

Aside from the gajillion glaring errors (mainly concerned with proportion and the shoddiest of lineart), I'm pretty satisfied with it. When I drew it, it looked like it should be a doujinshi cover (pose is pretty much referenced from one), hence the added text.\r\n\r\nAnd before you guys (and the Mods too) scratch your heads in befuddlement, saying 'this is furry?', yesh, it is. That fine-looking lad with the pointed ears and interesting neckware is Fenris, a were-wolf. You'll have to pardon him for not following the textbook description of a were-wolf, but still, he is indeed one. Scouts honor. It what I'd call 'semi-OT', though, given that thar's one of those crazy human things in the drawing. Her name is Kat (short for Katherine). Get it? Cat and Dog? Hahaha? Right. |

A character I created for a WW:tA campaign that never quite came into being. I'd already fallen in love with him to send him to the scrap-heap, though, so I pulled this out of the first few pages of my sketchpad and decided to give it a color. Besides, it's once in a blue moon that I actually draw something with a typical anthropomorphic muzzle nowadays.\r\n\r\nI tried to blend the patches of fur together, but it didn't work so well on his head. He's getting on in years, so in his human form he's got salt and pepper hair, and I tried to reflect that in his mane. Beh. The other thing that annoys me pretty badly is the mismatched line-weight between his body and his head. Eh well. I was just dickin' around with the drawing anyway. |

Oi! ...can't a guy even get one break? As patriarch and therefore the eldest member of his Clan, the Tanuki Hachiman often gets burdened with the most tedious of tasks - babysitting. And just when he can finally sit down and have himself a relaxing drink, one of his 20-some juvenile descendants goes and does something dumb.\r\n--\r\ntranslation:\r\nGASHAN! (CRASH!)\r\nOjiisan! (Grandfather!)\r\n(at least, I think so. My Japanese has become rather shoddy.)\r\n--\r\nFun with halftones. A halfassed sketch of Hachiman that I decided I wanted to practice digital screentones on. A cheap attempt, I know, made even more muddled by the .gif compression. Took me a good 3 or 4 hours to do the toning. Practice makes me frustrated. |

Semi-OT? Whatever the hell he is, he ain't a human, that's fer damned sure. Just wanted to draw a skull (for anatomy practice, not for the sake of drawing a skull), and next thing I know, this charming fellow came about. Don't know what the fuck he is, or why he's drooling allover the place, but I like it so far. He could be useful for further character creation.\r\n\r\nPose was referenced from an anatomy book. I added the fangs (in a charming smoker's-brown), the spikes, and the obscene tongue (not to mention that strange stringy drool-stuff) on a whim. Drawn at 4:30 in the AM - we'll blame it on sleep deprivation. Colored and shaded partially with an airbrush, partially with the Dodge and Burn tools. |

I was wondering why I liked the blue and green color scheme so much, then... I uh... then realized it was Ghul's. D'OH. So ...shh... just pretend it's something new. Also, I'm being nice and using the compressed version because the drawing sucks anyway. XD\r\n\r\nThis was originally supposed to work out as an image for business cards / flyers for my art studio, Dragon Shadow Studio (because I want to sound self-important, so nyah), but it didn't quite turn out the way I wanted it to. And yes, the pose is um... influenced by Joe Mad's artwork. Ehehehe. Like I said, it didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. So I'm redoing it.\r\n\r\nI also made a wallpaper - http://www.deviantart.com/view/8302712/\r\nKairyuu © Faia |

Innit he cute?! :: squees :: I've been wanting to draw a Tanuki FOREVER. So I did. And his name is Hachiman.\r\n\r\nThe coloring here goes from okay to bad, because I'm getting rather sleepy and couldn't concentrate towards the end. But since I'm gonna be drawing Tanuki until I finish Kairyuu's full form and get down some other character roughs, he's got plenty of chances of getting redrawn and colored.\r\n\r\nfor the full description (it wouldn't all fit):\r\nhttp://www.deviantart.com/deviation/7868155/ |

O_O; All I wanted to do was draw something cute. Just some cute little anthro-thingy in a kimono. Now I've got a whole new character. He may look little and innocent, but don't be fooled. He's got tremendous powers, and can shift into his much larger form. \r\n\r\nWould figure that I can draw that sort of thing, but parasols completely escape me. The damned thing is crooked. >_< And I'm rather glad I was able to pull off the patterned-kimono thing, even if it is sorta halfassed. Ehhh well. And that is the WORST BG I have EVER done. CGed rendition of Preen. I don't quite remember why I neglected to shade this. Probably got lazy (I did this a few months ago, just getting around to posting it to the VCL now). Preen's wing-arms are infact a birth-defect. Most of her species are quadrupeds, with their wings on their backs. Preen's defect, obviously, is the fact that her wings grew from her front legs. Despite that, she gets around quite well, both on the ground and in the air. She doesn't breathe fire, just blue smoke (as shown by the weird smudgy crap above her nose). |

I've been helping my aunt move, and then turning around and coming home to pack and move my own family's junk (as we're moving into her old house), so I have been IMMENSELY tired. I didn't know how tiring sheer exhaustion is until now.\r\n\r\nYes, I have earthtone sheets and pillowcases. XD Usually I wear big honkin' headphones (like the kind DJs use), but they kinda muddled the picture. I tried to attempt a new style of shading, almost like backlighting. Didn't work too well, I think. BG is inspired by my ceiling. '15 scans your mother warned you about' INDEED.\r\n\r\nI dun know where this came from. O_O; I just felt like drawing a horse, and out Majuumi came. He was created almost two years ago for an RPG, when four characters were transformed into the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Majuumi was War's horse, a HUUUGE red-an'-black-sharp-teefed-blood-drinking horse. He was a very not-nice horsie, let me tell you.\r\n\r\nThat horn shouldn't be there. Originally, he was in heavy warlike armor, complete with a facemask with lots of horns and barbs. For aesthetic purposes, I scrapped the faceplate for this drawing and kept the horn. |

'Your current upload allowance is 15 chickens'. OH, IRONY.\r\n\r\nColonel Tek Andersen (alias Iron Talon) again. Took me a week to composite, an hour to ink, and about 4 to color. It's a shame the drawing is shabby, because the background is pretty wicked-looking. My intentions were to have him look like he was flying out of the background, but the wings weren't working for me, and got scrapped during the inking process. Instead, his wings are folded down into their compartments on his back. So I went for my second option, him 'crawling' out of a tecchie-looking BG. I've got the BG, but the crawling or whatever isn't jiving with me. Looks like he's just a legless mutant hovering over a weird BG.\r\nTek © Faia/Guitargoyle (meh!) |

Hey, Mistah Otteah!\r\nYay... 'Welcome Back Kotter' inspiration. Heh.\r\n\r\nAn otter for my Aunt Melanie's 47th birthday. She loves otters. So I figured I'd do something otter-ish with my arteetic talent (or lack thereof). It's a river otter (kinda), even though it looks horrendous. Okay. So sue me. Never drew an otter before. Forgot his tail. So it's behind him. And otters have four toes on their hind legs instead of three. And he's holding a fire extinguisher because of all the candles on the cake.\r\n\r\n...she won't even be able to tell it's an otter. Eh well. I tried. Colored pencils were mauled. Gruh. |
