The folktale lives on among joke forums today (with a dog, leopard and monkey instead of a sheep, tiger and fox, respectively).

Dall sheep because I haven't drawn one before, not because I think it was likely to be the type refered to in the folktale.

Been drawing monster boys lately...

Sort of for Furcadia, I guess, but unfinished and largely for me. Plus, this one is rather eye-pleasing (especially the legs).

Just a little doodle I thought I'd use sometime.

And maybe add shading and shines onto if I ever get around to it.

Sorry that it's scribbly; did it straight into pen 'cause otherwise it'd probably have never got finished. And I'm not sure whether these will go into colour or extra-cartoony or stay as they are. We'll just see what happens.

Okay, trying without any shading, just some colour, and a slightly different drawing technique for one part.

Not based on any particular story, and just a doodle really, but I like how it came out.

Coloured version, finally. Forgive the colouring on the partially healed stumps, I've never seen it on furred animals before, and I wanted it to be more obvious than it probably is. To try to get across how eerie it is to see people like this.

There's the green elastic band... Apparently getting the chisel through the first bit is hard, but once it's in the joint it "goes through like butter". There are some odd people out there...

I'm off designing new species again. This is a Zhaep, it's a mix of zebra, hare and sheep.

Sheep teeth and digestive system too, I think, but that doesn't really show on the outside. My rabbit feet are going back to more realistic again, too... Hm.
