a be-eared hat for Lixa the adorable griffin, for the snail mail exchange on LJ.

this is made of synthetic fleece, and with no prior pattern; i just cut out pieces as i went. it's also ONE HUNDRED PERCENT HANDSEWN. ugh, bad idea, but it came out fantastic!

it's a very disconcerting sort of feeling
like you have a very sweet and cute little pet; and you turn away for a moment, and when you turn back 'round your little guinea pig has died, and rotted, and been replaced with a large centipede, nibbling on its body.

i didn't even place in the contest, naturally.

it was refreshing to draw something so cute and pastel, though. my favourite part is the hearts on the ears.

Pestilence is some bizarre hybrid with the darkness, and it escapes sometimes
(or maybe it's just infected, i can never remember.)

charm keychain - Jade

a little shrinky-dink/plastic charm of my boy Jade enjoying some Blackthorn cider.
this was mostly coloured with marker, with a little pencil for the white and highlights. the outline is a little shoddy, that's what I get for inking it with a marker instead. it's attached to a metal clip, so he can be clipped to just about anything, like a keychain or zipper. it is about an inch and a half tall. $8 for one, $14 for two; see "More Info" link if interested.

charm keychains - Tad & Saoirse

a pair of shrinky-dink keychains i made for my buddies Tad & Saoirse of their griffin-selves, because they are pretty much awesome.

i cut these out together, so as you can see, their paws and tails fit together. you can also see where the inking on Tad got a little smudged before i sprayed them with matte sealer.
these are very tiny, about two inches from tail to head, and fairly durable. they are $8, or $14 for a pair, if you want your own! (see More Info)
