Zaulankris

Zaulankris version 1.0. Remember, the white dragonwolf by the same name was for non-WoW RP. This is the original green badass that inspired it all.

I seriously love roleplaying this guy. He was inspired heavily by Jant Shira (a character from the Year of Our War series, by Steph Swainston). They're a lot alike; skinny little drug addict with a bit of a spicy personality.

In-game, my elf can turn into this purpley owl-bear-deer thinger (Blizz made it so all elves, regardless of gender or color, all look the same when they shift into animals)... but my elf has green hair and dusty-pink skin, so when I drew him I decided to use those colors instead of the default ones.

Pen tool is really cool.

You can make stuff like this with it.

Koz showed me how to use the Pen tool in PS and I'm completely in love with it. Look at those super lines! Goodbye Pilot Fineliners!
It's kinda complicated to learn at first, but for those who are 'Shop-savey I totally reccomend screwin' around with it to learn it.

Someone in my family (dunno who) took a picture of their cat, Anthony, and my mom later emailed it to me coz it was extra cute. I used that instead of a sketch as an underlayer, so really.. it's traced.

There, I said it. Ugh.

But at least I learned Pen tool. Rejoice!

I have this Nelf in WoW that's called Zaulankris.
I like the name and the character, so I'm gonna recycle him into a furry character I can use in MUCKs.
Oh hell, the elf Zau can turn into a moonkin (some kinda owl/bear thinger with antlers)... this is close enough.

This is Li. She and I used to hang out as kids as bring home stuff we'd find in swamps, and together we'd terrorize the neighbourhood boys.

Now, our relationship has been mostly reduced to msn chatter, and the occaisionally furmeet.

Silverback is a buddy of mine; we've been pingponing emails and stuff back and forth for a few years now, but he seems to be online more only recently :P

This was done via cheating-- I used a photograph of him he had sent me as the top layer in lieu of a pencil sketch. I downed the opacity of the photo so I could see what I was doing on the lower layers. The face was done in a similar fashion.

Beekin and I went to Future Shop and bought a Roboraptor for his belated birthday.

but his car refused to start and it was bloody cold. We were there for like an hour, and people kept staring, but no one offered a boost.
We kept laughing at Honda Civics though-- because they're not good enough to boost Beekin's 1969 Impala.

He eventually got it started up though-- and gunned the engine like a madman. That turned a lot of heads :P

New PS technique... it's called cheating. I traced his car from a picture.

I went to see a Rockey Horror show last night. While in line, there were some dudes in fishnets and bondage gear running through the traffic twirling flaming staves.

I fucking love this city.

Only in Montreal will you see men in lingerie in temperatures appoaching freezing.

We have already established that I more-or-less know how to highlight and shade furry things, but I still don't know jack about shading mooth-skinned beasts.

This dude is my guinea pig. Yeah, it's the same dude as in dragons.jpg. Kirazi Moondreamer came up with their colors, and I really like the way they look. I'll draw the female again later, mebbe.

It took me like 2 years to get around to coloring this. I just downloaded "Photograph of You" by Sugar Ray (havent heard that one in a few years) and i was like, "omfg, why haven't I colored this image yet?!".
