cute li'l acrylic piece, Jackel and Ferret.

tropicaltigress.jpeg
Image: tropicaltigress.jpeg   528x778 66490 bytes 2002.03.12

I'm pleased with this confidant-lookin' tigress babe in her sarong. You know the weather's turnin' when *I* start drawing tropical themes. Normally I'm an arctic type (although given that I'm a jackal I should be into savahnas too ;)

jackalbonnet.jpeg

A cute, spring-y jackaless in a floral bonnet, and you can see that Summer is playing with her new prisma markers.

CapedogGirl.jpeg

A colorful cape dog gal! Me testing out my new prismacolor markers, in Rl the colors on this piece are quite blended and look smooth; they look dreadful in the scan. Still, this was fun. Cape dogs are cool.

salem.jpeg
Image: salem.jpeg   595x797 184836 bytes 2002.02.06

this was my half of a trade with the insanely wonderfully talented Roz Gibson, whose work I've loved since, like, forever. I was just so thrilled. Oh, this pic is a little dark, I guess. Because Salem is really, not a nice guy at all. And Salem is (c) to Roz Gibson and absolutely cannot be used without permission...because, you know, Salem wouldn't *like* that and might go hunt you down...*shudder* its the sort of thing he'd do...

badgies.jpeg

Some con badges I did for FC: mine and Ch'marr's. Yes, I do con badges! I *like* doing con badges! (demented yipping.)

Awwwww. Affectionate 'taurs.

SpotofFun.jpeg
Image: SpotofFun.jpeg   415x610 157758 bytes 2002.01.29

What's to say? A couple of spotty kitties, done in watercolor. I particularly like the cheetah's expression.

huntresses.jpeg
Image: huntresses.jpeg   442x597 126223 bytes 2002.01.29

A cheetah and a jackal lady, getting ready to go for a hunt.

latemodelcolor.jpeg
Image: latemodelcolor.jpeg   430x631 65628 bytes 2002.01.23

'Late Model', watercolored. For some reason I had a rather difficult time getting this one to scan properly, but you get the general idea. And yes, I know I deserve a lashing for that title. ;)

LateModelJag.jpeg
Image: LateModelJag.jpeg   401x626 99077 bytes 2002.01.17

Inked version of a piece I made in anticipation of Further Confusion.

wolv1.jpeg
Image: wolv1.jpeg   511x660 92614 bytes 2001.12.12

He's a wolverine morph! My first ever, a sketch done in preparation for a comission I need to start working on that involves one.

warmfuzzy.jpeg
Image: warmfuzzy.jpeg   451x728 87259 bytes 2001.12.12

A kerza and Arandre snuggle pic, also a test of a new pen.

favoritethings.jpeg
Image: favoritethings.jpeg   660x512 115248 bytes 2001.12.12

here's Jackel with Melissa O'Brien's (c) character, 'Ris, both as nonmorphic jackals. She's got her favorite Gambit plushie, I have...a turkey feather! whee! (see her pic of Jackel to get the reference ;)

romp.jpeg
Image: romp.jpeg   636x480 69133 bytes 2001.12.12

Here's Jackel enjoying a winter play session with a pair of cute arctic foxies: nonmorph versions of Likwid-Ice's Glitter and Skii. I may color this when finals are over, because I don't think they are really recognisable as themselves uncolored. Foxies (c) Likwid Ice, Jackel (c) Summer Jackson

robe.jpeg
Image: robe.jpeg   341x564 79443 bytes 2001.12.12

My mate, Chris, just sewed himself up a really cool, silly fleece robe that he looks very nice in. => I generally draw him as a ferret, so here he is all ferrety peeking out from under the big hood. I left this kind of 'sketchy' on purpose for fear of losing the soft-warm-fuzziness of it to cleaner lines.

canids_capedogs.jpeg
Image: canids_capedogs.jpeg   713x523 59840 bytes 2001.11.14

the Lycaeon pictus in my canids series.

halloween.jpeg
Image: halloween.jpeg   526x722 58332 bytes 2001.10.31

Pretty self-explanatory, neh? Nonmorph Jackel in what is actually my renfaire 'costume'. The ferret is my mate Chris, who is a 5th grade teacher and not crazy about my favorite holiday as his students are always crazy during and after. ;)

happyCarmine.jpeg
Image: happyCarmine.jpeg   468x684 36640 bytes 2001.10.30

And here's miss Carmine, dancing in a poor excuse for clothing.

spectral.jpeg
Image: spectral.jpeg   468x686 62365 bytes 2001.10.30

I'd better upload this before halloween, although really, I don't need an excuse to be morbid. Ahem. This is my taps character, the spectral Jackel, not to be confused with my perennial fursona, who isn't dead yet. I'm amazed at how fun it is to RP as a ghost. If you look real close at the pic, you can see her bones...no, those aren't draft lines I forgot to erase. :P happy haunting, all.

carmineposes.jpeg
Image: carmineposes.jpeg   465x761 47380 bytes 2001.10.30

I seem to be drawing a lot of Carmine. My brother's confused comment upon leafing through my sketchbook was classic---"in one picture she's an anthro and in the other she's not, what gives?" or something like that. All of my characters, apparently, lead double lives. Cute little red wolfie.

Roux.jpeg
Image: Roux.jpeg   598x744 159798 bytes 2001.10.11

Ok, I suppose it was only a matter of time. I did my best to draw Roux, a mainstay VCL character! Roux: I don't know you, but still I consider you very cool. This is my first and thus far only attempt to draw a kangaroo, anthro or otherwise! What would most likely occur should Jackel chance upon Roux between classes. The unlikely but excellent marsupial is (c) herself, of course.

jackelreclining.jpeg
Image: jackelreclining.jpeg   722x543 125481 bytes 2001.10.10

This is my contribution to the series of 'tasteful nudes' by various people (leastwise, I think it's tasteful.) Another effort with brushed ink and watercolor. Jackel here looks as though she's posing for a life drawing class...ah, well. The wolf pillow I actually have; it's alpaca fur, and I got it in tahoe after last year's trek to the snow to mush my dogs. The horse skin is a beautiful thoroughbred I used to have (well, I suppose that technically I still have her) whose hide I saved when she died.

eveningCheetah.jpeg
Image: eveningCheetah.jpeg   547x705 154537 bytes 2001.10.10

Still more attempts at watercolor. She was inked with a brush, then colored with the paint. I like the figure, but absolutely hate the background..bleagh...I liked the thing before I added that obnoxious blurry thing. I suppose I should chalk it up to the learning curve; some other people have liked it.

griff.jpeg
Image: griff.jpeg   574x771 110571 bytes 2001.10.09

A griffin guy!

simon.jpeg
Image: simon.jpeg   579x782 218787 bytes 2001.10.03

A commission of Simon, a generally friendly, if tough-lookin' biker wolf. He's done in prismacolors and looks better in person--the neon sign just didn't scan well. Simon is (c) his player.

pose.jpeg
Image: pose.jpeg   192x576 51380 bytes 2001.09.13

Probably my favorite female nude I've done to date, here's Carmine standing pretty. It's a very small piece, done on a scrap of bristol board.

ChrisBday.jpeg
Image: ChrisBday.jpeg   703x519 136473 bytes 2001.09.13

done for my mate's birthday, here we are in our nonmorphic forms as Jackel and a black-footed ferret.

Play.jpeg
Image: Play.jpeg   703x499 103460 bytes 2001.09.12

Carmine and Jackel, in their nonmorphic incarnations, romp together on a beautiful day in early autumn. the rest of the world, alas, is not nearly so joyful right now. This is a copy of the inked original, colored with watercolors, with which I have been having much fun. (Carmine just dosen't work well in black and white.)

TimsBDay.jpeg
Image: TimsBDay.jpeg   576x795 150965 bytes 2001.09.12

My brother Timothy's 13th birthday card/present from me---a secret agent-ish, generally tough and suave looking vulpine. Tim is into action movies, all that stuff, and though it's not my favorite genre, here's my stab at the look. You'll note that I cannot draw firearms worth a damn. It's ink colored with watercolor, that watercolor set I bought a couple years ago and that has been collecting dust. The piece looks much better IRL than on the scan much smoother, I'm actually quite pleased with it, save that krylon fixatif apparently does not work properly with watercolors. More of this sort of thing is probably forthcoming from me...the watercolors, not necessarily the action foxes. ;)
