A red wolf, not in the sense of canis rufus, but as in fire-engine, is miss Carmine.

Kerza taking Jackel for a little walk. More random silliness.
| Image: hyena.jpeg
502x684 26983 bytes 2001.09.11
A spotted hyena morph, the first I've tried to do and liked, actually.

The mesomelas in my canids series. Jackel apparently wants to be a type specimen; here she is looking coy.

591x465 30377 bytes 2001.08.28
This is one in a series I'm doing, attempting to get an image of all of the larger canines (and after I'm done, if I get ambitious, I might tackle the foxes too. ;) This is one of my favorites so far. Ethiopian wolves/siamean jackals are a very beautiful canid that is unfortunately on the brink of extinction. There are none, to my knowledge, being bred in captivity. :P

Clouded Natalya, showing her complicated clouded leopard pattern.

614x480 27349 bytes 2001.08.28
Jackel in her alter-form as a cute little canis mesomelas. yip!

"...But you don't even *like* ramen!" Jackel gets table-begged by Pryderi, 'cos he just knows that his person's food just *has* to taste better than his. Aww. Myself and my doggie are c. to me.

446x674 27835 bytes 2001.07.13
A pic of Kerza I actually *like!* yay. :) Done in dark pencils, which style some have recently taken to be ink. I actually like my finished pencils better than my inks a lot of the time.

497x688 62637 bytes 2001.07.13
Another little pic of Jackel, a line drawing colored with prismacolors.

I'm really pleased with this one, a portrait of Clouded Natalya, a new char of mine. She is an ambassidor, scholar and martial artist....also a clouded leopard whose body and patterns I have tried to keep fairly relaistic; her fangs, for instance, portrude because clouded leopards have the largest relative fang size of any cat. She's also fairly short-coupled because clouded meows are. A bit of a challenge to keep her on-pattern; I'm working on more images of her and keeping the spots ight is a challenge.

569x710 90283 bytes 2001.07.13
Arandre, waiting in the rain for his bus. The urban side of my life reaching my furries? I suppose even a wolf/dragon has to have a day job. Any guesses as to what that might be?
| Image: Manedwolf.JPEG
626x514 38319 bytes 2001.06.17
A little nonmorphic maned wolf!!
| Image: Arandrenonmorph.JPEG
718x557 46170 bytes 2001.06.17
Here's Arandre the dragon wolf in his typically nonmorphic form.
| Image: Arandre.JPEG
552x775 64598 bytes 2001.06.17
Arandre is a wolf/dragon, here in his morphic form. I really really like the way he turned out. One of my few characters who *isn't* cute and fuzzy. (well, he can be...)
| Image: vassaril-1.gif
540x727 49133 bytes 2001.06.15
An older drawing of my character Vassaril, a little gray vixen with a major attitude and a sabretoothed cat.
| Image: snuggle-1.jpg
747x533 58341 bytes 2001.06.15
I loved the initial rough sketch for this, but then ruined the thing inking it. I decided to do another with finished pencils, and like the way it came out, thus starting off the spate of finished pencils I've been uploading as of late. These two are just altogether too cute, IMHO.

538x662 55213 bytes 2001.06.15
My self-pawtrait! A fuzzball, looking somewhat wistful, showing off her mixed canid-felid heritage.
| Image: Chivalry-1.jpg
497x701 51986 bytes 2001.06.15
A lupine knight takes leave of his aurean (jackal) lady, possibly never to return. Medieval crusader chivalric angst!!! And more shaded-pencils work from me.
| Image: huntress-2.JPEG
555x725 68136 bytes 2001.06.14
A cheetah huntress, done in pencils.
| Image: USAkitty.JPEG
490x619 40167 bytes 2001.06.13
A cheezkake kitty with no redeeming social qualities what-soever! woohoo! Look for a color version this 4th of July.
| Image: reunion.JPEG
561x643 64510 bytes 2001.06.13
A melanistic jaguar-taur enthusiastically greets his maned wolf lady. I actually have been working on a character who is the offspring of these two...scary thought...
| Image: manedwolf-1.JPEG
413x708 35655 bytes 2001.06.08
A maned wolf male steps carefully out of the grass. A canid species (albeit not a wolf!) I am particularly fond of.
| Image: Sniffmod.JPEG
624x475 52293 bytes 2001.06.08
Jackel in her form as a non-morphic black backed jackal touches noses with a white wolf who looks a little confused. (what's *that*?)
| Image: Dragonandpuppies.JPEG
497x557 57341 bytes 2001.06.04
A dragon, his coyote and his jackal. I did a couple of fairly intense sketchbook pieces at a recent con involving a jackal and a dragon; here's something sweeter. ;) is cute, no?
| Image: wolves2.gif
476x296 9527 bytes 2001.05.25
The first was received well, so I did another. My try at the cliched but pleasant wolfies-howling image.
| Image: barnchat.gif
518x720 229902 bytes 2001.05.25
I'm working more in finished pencils for my black and whites these days because I'm becoming frustrated by my inking jobs. I liked the way these two came out, and it's the most detailed background I've done for a little while.
