It is a profound thing. He uses giraffes as a symbol (although he uses jackals as a negative symbol, which dosen't meet my needs for appreciation of such a wonderful species, but I can live with it). This is just not an easy character to draw, but I think that the watercolor lends itself well to trying for that pale shimmery multicolored thing she has going.
