I'm sceptical sometimes. Really, I truly am.

Started out as this year's model sheet for Jackel. I've decided to do a yearly one, more or less, because I find it interesting to record the changes as she (and I) grow and age with time. The biggest change this time, I guess, is that she now has two notches, not one, in her right ear. If I get around to finishing this, it'll have nice redwood-forest tones: my native habitat, after all. It isn't really a model sheet any more, but that's why Jackel, morphic is standing next to...herself, in nonmorphic form.

Sweet and tender little thing she is, but you'd better believe that she has claws. meow!

A note that Jackel is, well, a jackal. Technically Rawkit is a coyote, though he looks a lot more like a maned wolf with the character design.

One of my very very rare collage type things.
Here's the deal. I have five dogs. All of them are on heartworm preventative, of course, which I buy all at once. Each 6-month supply box has a set of 12 little reminder stickers for you to put on your calendar...which I don't use, and even if I did, there would be a surplus. Every year I wonder what to do with them.

This year I did this with them (and some of the inserts). It's a contemplation of dogs and what it means to take care of one and maybe why we do it as well as things a 'heartworm' and the prevention thereof might be useful symbols to discuss, entirely outside of the canine context.

This is my half of a trade with the wonderful LemurKat. This is her character Dimitri, a pallas' cat travelling merchant, with his friend, a bluejay. I really enjoyed drawing both of them. This is the only pallas' cat I've drawn, and I think that I should draw more. Dimitri appeals to me, I want to just cuddle him and fluff his fur.

A sly and witchy Frisket rides through her midnight garden on Ezili, Cajun zombie voodoo horse. I love these characters. Done for Frisket's Ezlili contest/challenge. (and the plants, in case it isn't obvious from my lousy ability to draw plants, are stinging nettle, hemlock and poison ivy.)
