Hi. I love the way your fur tastes.
| Image: Jackel04modelcolor.jpg
567x759 112460 bytes 2004.09.15
Jackel's model sheet, updated for 2004. At the moment, I'm actually not frustrated with this.

499x653 50558 bytes 2004.08.12
My entry for the August Fur Art Exchange. Dizhao is (c) to Jaggyd.
| Image: BoarSpear.jpg
542x751 64378 bytes 2004.08.12
What to tell you about this image? A treatise on medieval hunting and a drive to the city puts these images into my head, apparently. The image of it came to me quite powerfully.

580x763 76836 bytes 2004.08.12
Jackel's updated model sheet for 2004, anthropomorphic version.

For the June Gryphon Art Exchange. Sauda, a turkey vulture/hyena gryphon, with an attitude.

516x674 75224 bytes 2004.05.06
I don't quite know what to tell you about this one. Jackel in a very dangerous mood.
| Image: Conbadge.jpg
288x221 29597 bytes 2004.05.06
My con badge for 2004. I was perfectly happy with the one I'd made myself years ago, but then I lost it. Drat. Still, this one is jazzy and kind of cute.
| Image: JackelwinterBW.jpg
509x686 39171 bytes 2004.05.05
The B/W of Jackel in her winter coat. (as drawn in May when she would be in the process of shedding it out. ;) Posted here because I like it in B/W almost more than the color version, and others might feel the same way.
| Image: Jackelwinter.jpg
506x686 57556 bytes 2004.05.05
This is what Jackel looks like in her winter coat.
| Image: JackelSL.jpg
664x394 38601 bytes 2004.05.05
Usually, when I draw Jackel as a nonmorph, it is in her usual jackal form. But this is what she looks like devolved back to the other half of her genetics, a snow leopard. She's still got the black back and fuller tail of the jackal.

529x727 116226 bytes 2004.04.19
Jackel feelin' fierce. ;) The symbols are things that either have some meaning for me or are images I just like.

550x770 125824 bytes 2004.04.19
My rendition of Ten of Swords. Which is a positive card for me, really it is.
| Image: Nouveau.jpg
562x708 75158 bytes 2004.04.14
Anja the tigress, looking a little miffed, holding a white gyrfalcon. The backgrounds are my stab at a kind of 'nouveau' feel, which sort of worked, arguably. I think it looks a lot better in person. Oh, well. Perhaps if I color it digitally.
| Image: Canisflirty.jpg
329x554 50742 bytes 2004.04.09
Canis Minor has a new leash and collar set, which she seems to like.
| Image: Anjastepsout.jpg
345x501 50090 bytes 2004.04.09
White Tigress Anja lookin' keen.

A golden griffin in motion.

Wanna play?!?!!

Anja, a white tigress. | |
| Image: Headlessincolor.jpg
540x743 87790 bytes 2004.03.29
Color version of Jackel as the headless rider. I think I like the b/w version better, but the colored pic has a certain...charm.

592x732 88321 bytes 2004.03.29
Oh, Ichabod, darlin', your days are just so numbered. Give it up now and I might be nice.

| Image: WaterTiger.jpg
574x744 78477 bytes 2004.03.26
This tiger's pattern is based upon that of my second-favorite bicycling jersey. The fabric's so pretty, I needed to see the tiger. So here he is.
| Image: magiccomplains.jpg
329x514 82903 bytes 2004.03.11
Another version of the Magic picture. Those who knnow her might think that the cat is vocal enough without this kind of encouragement. However, I assure you that the words are entirely her own.
| Image: magicmeow.jpg
329x514 16943 bytes 2004.03.11
Is Magic, a small, cute, demanding, and very, very vocal cat. Here I'm using her portrait to familiarize myself with basic photoshop handling.
| Image: YAWN.jpg
360x588 53278 bytes 2004.03.11
STRETCH those paws...yah...morning. Another morning, and still the same scruffy little jackal.
| Image: Meda.jpg
597x713 81510 bytes 2004.03.11
Meda is an Ethiopian Wolf/Phoenix. I don't think I should have used so much yellow in her feathers; she should have more of a red cast to them. Perhaps at some point I'll try recoloring this image, possibly in watercolors.
| Image: Spring.jpg
343x556 68452 bytes 2004.03.11
Crazy puppy. Be very afraid. I showed this to my partner and he said, "very Nightmare Before Christmas" which makes sense, given that said film had a big impact on my aesthetic. But with the colors I used here, Nightmare before Easter would be appropriate. So wild spring nightmares here with Jackel. Wuff.
| Image: Happy.jpg
346x604 60010 bytes 2004.03.09
Canis shares some words to live by.
| Image: BARK.jpg
356x424 44536 bytes 2004.03.09
A portrait of my little dog, Rogue! She calls out, Bark, yeah! 'cos she's, llike, a Shetland Sheepdog, and she, like, likes to Bark! yeah! Bark!
| Image: Phoenixes.jpg
360x602 82286 bytes 2004.03.09
Working out the designs for a pair of characters, Raj and Meda, Ethiopian wolf/phoenixes. I love phoenixes. This is watercolor again, and it got a little messy with the pen I was using to ink, but I actually like it that way.
