I don't quite know what to tell you about this one. Jackel in a very dangerous mood.

My con badge for 2004. I was perfectly happy with the one I'd made myself years ago, but then I lost it. Drat. Still, this one is jazzy and kind of cute.

The B/W of Jackel in her winter coat. (as drawn in May when she would be in the process of shedding it out. ;) Posted here because I like it in B/W almost more than the color version, and others might feel the same way.

This is what Jackel looks like in her winter coat.

Usually, when I draw Jackel as a nonmorph, it is in her usual jackal form. But this is what she looks like devolved back to the other half of her genetics, a snow leopard. She's still got the black back and fuller tail of the jackal.

Jackel feelin' fierce. ;) The symbols are things that either have some meaning for me or are images I just like.

I did this just after finishing the 'Kazaran' pic (in my adult directory) because I was still in a decapitated frame of mind. ;)

This tiger's pattern is based upon that of my second-favorite bicycling jersey. The fabric's so pretty, I needed to see the tiger. So here he is.

Another version of the Magic picture. Those who knnow her might think that the cat is vocal enough without this kind of encouragement. However, I assure you that the words are entirely her own.

Meda is an Ethiopian Wolf/Phoenix. I don't think I should have used so much yellow in her feathers; she should have more of a red cast to them. Perhaps at some point I'll try recoloring this image, possibly in watercolors.

Crazy puppy. Be very afraid. I showed this to my partner and he said, "very Nightmare Before Christmas" which makes sense, given that said film had a big impact on my aesthetic. But with the colors I used here, Nightmare before Easter would be appropriate. So wild spring nightmares here with Jackel. Wuff.

Working out the designs for a pair of characters, Raj and Meda, Ethiopian wolf/phoenixes. I love phoenixes. This is watercolor again, and it got a little messy with the pen I was using to ink, but I actually like it that way.

An illo I did for a 'Gargoyles' fanfic called 'Confession'; the characters are original and mine. In a dark and secluded corner of their castle, Lacorne is telling her brother Leo that he has very interesting taste. Leo should have some silver in his mane, but I forgot that little detail when I was coloring it. :P Oops.

Lacorne is an original character who shows up in a couple of my 'Gargoyles' fanfics. I don't draw nearly enough equids, but I think she came out well enough. Lacorne is an 11th century English gargoyle, and a scholar. She was a lot of fun to write.

Gotta be careful not to burn my paws.
