Yay, I've been pubished! The back cover to Anthrolations #6. I had the good luck to be assigned to the story "Two Sick Days" by Andrija Popovic, an excellent writer, and one of my first friends on FurryMUCK. Thanks to Jeff Eddy for the opportunity!

Image: Foxy_YMB.gif   313x402 15755 bytes 2003.02.14

Oh, now that's just not right. \r\n\r\nProbably very marketable, but just not right.

Image: Foxy_Valentine.gif   313x402 35495 bytes 2003.02.14

Aww, isn't he so cute?!

Image: Pastels2.jpg   800x581 152645 bytes 2002.07.29

Vixen in oil pastels. I really should practice more with these things...

Image: Mixed-Signals.jpg   421x600 59485 bytes 2002.07.29

Is she threatening the judges, or simply finishing her routine? When I first sketched this out, Skorzy pointed out that it reminded him strongly of an XianJaguar piece, so I made sure to clear it with her. Many thanks to her for being nice about this. =)\r\n

Image: AD-cover.jpg   600x600 89315 bytes 2002.07.27

Off-topic, But I think I have enough images saved up to keep my ratios safe. A friend of mine asked me to burn a pair of Mix CDs for him, one containing soft pop-rock (Eric Clapton, Goo Goo Dolls, BB Mak), the other with industrial and hard rock. (Rammstein, Puddle of Mudd, and lots of Lords of Acid). As a christmas present, I also printed up CD covers. Disk 1 had the angels and sky, disk 2 had the devils and the flames. This is the cover. I'll probably post up a couple more CD Covers/labels and suggested track lists with a more "furry" theme to them in the future, Ch'marr and Staff willing.

Image: Hibernation.jpg   640x465 78788 bytes 2002.07.27

"Hibernation is Overrated" Two red squirrels romancing by a winter fire with hot cocoa. Why would anyone rather be sleeping? ;) Companion song: "On a Winter's Night" By Sarah McLachlan.

Image: GVMouse.jpg   466x640 70505 bytes 2002.07.27

"A Garden Variety Mouse" =) Just a cute little mousie posing in a cornucopia of fruit. Watercolors.

Image: smallarmy.jpg   640x480 81554 bytes 2002.07.27

"A Small Army", small rodents on large insects ready themselves for battle. Watercolor, the original is 24" by 18" framed.

Image: Spidergoat.gif   418x600 50726 bytes 2002.07.22

Baaa... *thwiip* SWING!\r\n\r\nIt's Spider-Goat, and his amazing... udders?!\r\n\r\nInspired by a recent story in the Washington Post. A genetics company has spiced the gene for spider silk protiens into dairy goats. These new transgenic goats produce milk that can be refined into spider silk, with a tensile strength of 60,000 Lbs. It's 5x stronger than steel, and can be woven into Bullet proof vests hat are lighter and stronger than Kevlar.\r\n\r\nAs cool and harmless as all this is, I still get images of this in my mind. Well, that and goats that chitter, climb walls and devour each other.

Image: Sexy-Sally.jpg   309x480 41862 bytes 2002.07.07

I started with the pose, and wondered what species to make her. I decided there weren't enough sexy amphibians around here. Plus, drawing from behind means I don't have to cheat and draw salamander boobies. \r\n\r\nWatercolor image, up at Anthrocon.

Image: Rabbit-Geisha.jpg   430x600 67441 bytes 2002.07.07

Third in a series of faux-japanese images. Really, do i have to explain the suitability of rabbits as geisha? ;) Well, ok, the western concept of "Ladies of the Evening", and the japanese view of the Man in the Moon as being a Rabbit making rice cakes. \r\n\r\nInterestingly enough, I see the rabbit easier than I can see a man's face in the moon.

Image: Fox-Actor.jpg   411x600 77666 bytes 2002.07.07

Another faux-japanese ink drawing. This time of a fox actor. I felt the fox suited this role for several reasons: Actor prints were very popular subject matter, and the feminine nature of the fox in legends meshes well with male actors, who played both male and female roles in all plays.

Image: Tiger-Daimyo.jpg   339x480 57333 bytes 2002.07.07

A Tiger Samurai lord, in the style of the old Japanese prints. Going into the AC Art show. \r\n\r\nI really do love the classic japanese prints. The flow, detail and vitality are always fun to look at, as are the unusual contortions of the body. I just find it the most expressive and lively of the pre-Rennaisance art-forms.

Image: PiSL-Web.jpg   640x501 88068 bytes 2002.07.07

"Payment in Still Life" A female fruit bat munching on some of the subject matter. The original will be for sale at Anthrocon.

Image: SWAT-Texas-web.jpg   444x600 80342 bytes 2002.07.07

It's Anthrocon Time!\r\n\r\nI've wanted to do some Armadillos for a while now. I figured a SWAT theme would suit the nature of their Texan location. Those are actual weapon models\r\n\r\nThe original will be for sale at the Anthrocon Art show.

Image: kee_n_aelis.jpg   616x822 83824 bytes 2002.07.07

A very recent photo to celebrate a rather hideous attempt at a new hairstyle. Last time I let a pretty hairstylist talk me into trying out a new style. My alter ego came by for some moral support, and teased me the rest of the day.
