Lover's Flight

Talbona the draconic winged white tigress carries her human husband Chaz up into the sky for a romantic flight together, as they both gaze into one anothers eyes.

This was a commission for the happy couple for their 1st year wedding anniversary =). Congratulations! And I hope you both have many more happy years together.

Lumina

Lumina and her little dragon...

Lumina is a black panther under normal lighting - under ultraviolet lighting, these are her markings...

This piece is done on 8"x10" illustration board, with micron pen and Golden fluid acrylics. To be displayed at Eurofurence.

Lots of glow going on ..His left eye glows blue, and his left arm and hand are made of living blue fire... The burning symbol on the wall is the unseen symbol that is on his back. That fishnet shirt was a real challenge.

This is the largest original piece I have ever done that was not a school assignment... measuring 20"x40" on illustration board, this piece was done in acrylic paints, Tria markers, and Prismacolor pencils, with minimal Micron outlining for the lettering on her jacket only...

Approximate time taken - 30-35 hours... over one week of really hard work ^.^..

I used some photo reference for the bridge, and I bought a book on racing bikes to design her bike and uniform.. and the tail fastened to her leg for safety is an homage to one of my friend Roy Pounds' ideas =).

I'm kindof flip-flopping between the more feral anthros, and the more human ones - this one is more feral, obviously =).

I love silver phase red foxes - they are also greatly underrepresented in furry art..

Nikki's Halloween

Nikki the bat, out at night by the light of the full moon...

I figured with Halloween coming up, I'd do something special =). This is wallpaper sized (1024 x 769... okay, I was a pixel off) - and I tried to format it in such a way that it would look good as a desktop background... (provided that you don't have too many icons ^.^)

And it had been far too long since I'd drawn a bat.

A commission for Nimirpard, of him napping in the sun on a sandbar after a good swim (leopards love the water, y'know?) Done in ink, colored pencil, watercolor and acrylic paints... The water was a bit of a challenge - I decided not to make it blue - because I decided shallow muddy water would look fake if blue ^.^, Plus, water is rarely blue unless its the ocean or a swimming pool ...

This is also the first time I think I've done spots all over - usually I leave white belly fur, but I was looking at a leopard photo ref, and they've got spots aalll over... so in the interests of realism.... ^.^

A white wolf with astonishingly blue-green eyes, which reflect the deep night star-strewn sky... I aimed to make it so that you could almost feel the chill in the air...

A long time ago, I created a character, Perfume - who was a sort of genie, who emerged from a perfume bottle that a little girl had bought, and was her companion.. She had a horned pegasus form, and a cat form. My old sketchbooks have a ton of sketches of that character.. After getting all nostalgic and looking at my old sketches, which are from the mid to late 90s, and terrible, I decided to draw her horned pegasus form.

Anyways, just thought I'd do a fun color doodle inbetween commissions... and harken back to something old school (and totally girly... )

A badge I made for myself for this year's Further Confusion... The resemblance to the Pinky:st dolls was intentional ^.^.. As I like them muchly. The character is mine, however =).

A red-headed pirate kitty, with a flintlock pistol... Its always impossible to make skies un-blotchy. =( I try, though.

The Raccoon's Bookshelf

A commission for The Old Grey Raccoon and Crystal of "The Raccoon's Bookshelf", of their furry selves chibified in a toothachingly cute fashion, organizing their fine collection.

I don't know what possessed me to write titles on so many of the books... Some of my favorites are: "Night of the Cephalopod", "Ooo... Shiny", "The Dangers of Jello", and "101 things to do with 101 things". Pure whimsy. The Hippie turtle was fun, too.

Sometimes I have entirely too much fun doing my job ^.^

I wasn't sure what to title this one... I suppose she is closest to 'were' as my style gets, so I guess that works... I *just* finished this piece... It took me 2 days to do... I referenced a photograph of a red fox for the colors only - the whole angle and everything else I changed... I wanted to do a piece like the Werewolf one I did last year ... and so I chose to do a fox ^.^. Media used: colored pencil, marker, watercolor, mechanical pencil and micron pen. I pulled out all the stops on this one, fur-wise... I hope it shows ^.^ Gonna sell her on Furbid soon.

A commission for Moldred, of his characters Johan Steenbok, and Ruth Faulkner - two ratel (honey badgers) who were childhood friends before they went very separate ways. Johan became an officer for a neighboring country's military, and was the man behind a bombing that wiped out Ruth's hometown, and family. This is their first meeting since childhood, and Ruth is surprised as her assassination attempt fails.

The piece is done in Micron pen, marker, watercolors and acrylic paints on 11"x14" illustration board.
