As far as species goes, she's somewhat of a hybrid of a snowleopard and a serval - and I like blue ^.^,

A badge I made for myself for this year's Further Confusion... The resemblance to the Pinky:st dolls was intentional ^.^.. As I like them muchly. The character is mine, however =).

This is the largest original piece I have ever done that was not a school assignment... measuring 20"x40" on illustration board, this piece was done in acrylic paints, Tria markers, and Prismacolor pencils, with minimal Micron outlining for the lettering on her jacket only...

Approximate time taken - 30-35 hours... over one week of really hard work ^.^..

I used some photo reference for the bridge, and I bought a book on racing bikes to design her bike and uniform.. and the tail fastened to her leg for safety is an homage to one of my friend Roy Pounds' ideas =).

A fennec in her homemade lizard costume, out on Halloween night gettin' the goods.... and from the looks of it, she's had a bit already, and is wired from the sugar... Few things are quite as cute as a hyper fennec....

A commission for Sailorcoon, of a Dark Elf/PantherTaur, a slightly more attractive and cuddlier version of the Drachnid, which has a dark elf upper body, and the lower body of a spider... This particular lady bears a bow and quiver of arrows and a small dagger, accompanied by her luminescent moth familiar... The luminescence in the mushrooms at her feet reflect of her slick black fur... A fun and challenging piece, done in ink, marker, colored pencil and acrylic paint.

Off topic, yes... but I dont do this often - I swear!... This is for my parents for their Christmas card this year... my 3rd year doing a card for them =). Painted almost entirely in acrylic paints, with a bit of colored pencil, marker, ink, and graphite here and there.. This took me no less than 20 hours total... because of all the acrylic, which really takes forever. The room is modeled after my parents' living room - the view outside however is totally different ^.^... Though my parents live in Southern California so its not too ludicrous. The idea is 'Christmas as a state of mind'... since not everyone gets a white Christmas.... I know I never have...

A commission for Nimirpard, of him napping in the sun on a sandbar after a good swim (leopards love the water, y'know?) Done in ink, colored pencil, watercolor and acrylic paints... The water was a bit of a challenge - I decided not to make it blue - because I decided shallow muddy water would look fake if blue ^.^, Plus, water is rarely blue unless its the ocean or a swimming pool ...

This is also the first time I think I've done spots all over - usually I leave white belly fur, but I was looking at a leopard photo ref, and they've got spots aalll over... so in the interests of realism.... ^.^

A detail shot of the previous upload... I hope this type of image is acceptable... One of the biggest complaints I hear about my art online is that I dont make the scans large enough... well, I thought of a way to show off some of that detail... because I agree, sometimes a 500 tall image just doesnt do justice to the amount of detail I try to put into an image.

Whew! This was a lot of work... The grass alone took 6 hours to shade. I wanted to do a piece I would be proud of though, so, here it is.. Candi the red panda is actually a time traveler - in each of my illustrations of her, she is shown in a different era... Here she is in modern day, on safari... the eternal traveler. For those who have been peeking at my new uploaded sketches, you'd have seen the gradual evolution of this drawing... and now it is done (I think... I may tweak it after I've sat away for it long enough to see errors, or to have errors pointed out to me..) Anyways, this is my character Echo the genet feeding koi at a Japanese garden.... I wasn't sure what to title this one... I suppose she is closest to 'were' as my style gets, so I guess that works... I *just* finished this piece... It took me 2 days to do... I referenced a photograph of a red fox for the colors only - the whole angle and everything else I changed... I wanted to do a piece like the Werewolf one I did last year ... and so I chose to do a fox ^.^. Media used: colored pencil, marker, watercolor, mechanical pencil and micron pen. I pulled out all the stops on this one, fur-wise... I hope it shows ^.^ Gonna sell her on Furbid soon.
