Shortly after that, a fire started from the ink and lead paint department, destroyed the studio! In 1937 the only negatives, on their way to Hitler, were destroyed with the Hindenburg accident, leaving him very angry indeed. Here we have the only surviving clip of a young squirrel named Donny.

The first -and the last- issue was seized from shops by religious fanatics and burned. Barks who didn't get paid swore he'd never touch the character again and concentrated on Disney ducks.
