Furry drama is hilarious at times. Other times, it is just sad.

(Thank my boyfriend for inspiring me. Oh....and feel free to pass this one around like a doobie at the next rasta party)

My friend Sorayume was also part of this meme that flew around LJ. She is not someone who has gone to raves (or if she has, definitly not on a regular basis) but I decided to experiment with it anyway. I had my own outfit on my mind I guess.

Admittedly this is not so much a "furry" character since the only wolf parts are her tail and ears. I guess thats what happens when anime fans cross into furry. ;)

This is a fruitbat named Rain Hatchett. She is someone on my LJ friends list. Anyhow, this is the digitized version of the doodle. Im experimenting with different line styles and somehow I can live with the way that I outlined her. It keeps the them of her character which uses bold lines.

I noticed that I seemed to delay this in sketching it, coloring it and digitally coloring it as compared to the other drawings in this exercise. I guess it really is true that it is harder to do art when it is of someone you are very close to. This is my best friend in the whole world and someone that is really a brother to me.

I had alot of fun with this piece becuase of the stripes and how I wrapped them to the body's contours. Sure, it was a pain in the arse but it was worht it to find a way that works, including trying to edit the stripes on a new layer. Sometimes google can be very inspiring on getting a good pose. The shading took the longest due to the fact I wanted to capture the muscles as I could see from the reference picture. Opie was pleased with this.

His name is Cateagle--an online friend of mine and mutual friend to Iron Raptor. His fursona is a maine coone cat. Maine coon cats do have a fluffy fur and have many pigments in them so digital was probably the better way to go on this one. In this pic it looks like he has an idea of some kind. Thats Cateagle, always thinking.

Since Loki can be adrogynous and/or a tomboy (but a cute one) so I made an effort to reflect that here as well. It seems that she was appreciative of it and I got the right amount of masculinity to add to this female character. She likes to flex her muscles.

Mazz is a vixen phenotype but recently became a fennec skunk mix. This one also took some time. I wanted to get the curvature of the skunk stripes a bit more accurate than I did in the sketch. I guess that is how it is when I do digital work. Im alot more nitpicky because there is actually room to Ctrl+Z and undo something.
