RIC: Failed Mixed Media

Well this sure was a failed experiment. I wanted to see just how well marker would go OVER colored pencil. Sadly colored pencil (no matter how fine of quality) just goes really bad if it is UNDER the marker. The markers really help smooth out the coloration and shading...no bones about it

RIC: Working with Taut Fabric

Also wanted to see what neat stuff I could do to capture the folds of fabric using pastels, markers and colored pencils. This particular piece did not have too many folds on the fabric due to the tight swimwear but the few folds just above the small of Rozga's back were worth exploring.

I also tried something totally new...pastels (they came with the initial art set) which I have never even touched until now. I tried to see how they would interact with marker as well as pencil.

Another trial with pastels and markers. This is where I tried adding pencil. Sadly, pastels and pencils do not get along. Good to know.

RIC: Rough Fur Shading

Having just got my art supplies back (they were lost for over 3 months if you can believe!) I found myself wanting to get back to the roots -- traditional mediums. This was going to be the way I approached an upcoming art trade with another furry. Worse came to worse, if I really wasnt up to the task or just could not get some actual technique to my traditional medium works, I would simply use the digital image to fall back on.
