I have way too many char concepts bouncing around in my head - meet one of the newer ones. His name is James, and he's a sheep (Still unsure as to what breed, though, so for now I guess he's just a generic sheep). He was quite hard to draw, since I'm not used to sheep muzzles. Their entire facial structure is very different from the critters I normally draw, and getting a sheep face to have a humanish expression was a challenge. I don't think I did too badly, though. More chalks in Painter Classic.

Just another one of those boring old headshots, yep. I like shading green, I think. Anyway, gift piccy for Saroise. The colours on this were fun.

Digital chalks in Painter Classic, a quick pic of a random lemur character. (Yes, another ringtailed one...) Lemurs are harder to draw right than I thought! She has no name yet, but knowing me she'll end up with one...

Style experiment, done with Flash. Uhh... it's a floating Nicky head. I'd like to be able to do entire scenes with this sortof "paper cut out look" but for now I'll just have to play about with boring headshots... it was fun, though.

One of those in-joke images that are really annoying because only a few people (me and Terry) will understand what the hell's going on. Eh well, I suppose it's a nice enough picture in its own right. Inked in Photoshop over a scanned sketch, and coloured in Painter Classic.

Another style experiment, and besides that... just a picture of my avatar not doing much in particular. Also the graphic used in the current version of my site, but I think it works okay as a stand alone picture.

Yes, I do a lot of gift art... blame FAX and FAX2 for that! Here's Tyreeenya the gryphon, in coloured pencils on brown card.

Henke for Ailah, one of the nicer things I've managed to do in an afternoon. (Now if only it wasn't a boring old headshot...) Painter Classic.

People seem to like this one, not too sure why. I've done better, but then again, it's not exactly horrible, right? FAX2 picture for Ravyn, July round. She mentioned her birthday fell in that month, so I came up with this.

Birthday gift for Lemurkat, coloured pencils on cardboard. I've never been able to work out whether I like the ribbed effect or think it's distracting...

Lys'zeth, Cynthia Reep's green dragoness. An experiment in various things for me, especially contrast and lighting. It's one of hose pics where I look back and think "Wow, did I really do that...?"

Image: pink.jpg   439x473 54706 bytes 2003.09.19

Because I'm one of those people who think that avatars exist so that you can do stupid things like this to them. Painter Classic quickie.

Image: hello.png   300x300 37606 bytes 2003.09.19

Oekaki of my avatar's latest incarnation, a grey "leopardcorgi".

Image: bonnie-maggock.jpg   774x305 47230 bytes 2003.09.19

Maggock the gryphon flies against a simple purple sky. Nothing too original but I had fun with the colours on this. Painter Classic.

Image: thoe.png   508x676 85882 bytes 2003.09.19

TabbieWolf's spotted skunk, Thoe. Messed about with a different colouring style this time around, something more toony. I like it.

Image: elhren.jpg   410x528 73087 bytes 2003.09.19

Elhren, the Kalbin (lion anthro) for Terry. Coloured pencil.

Image: sean.jpg   637x478 40148 bytes 2003.09.19

Sean, a red dragon character who appeared randomly and asked to be drawn. They have a habit of doing that sometimes. Photoshop over a scanned sketch.
