I am truly traumatised. *sobs* Never have I drawn something so truly scary before. \r\n\r\n

Image: salamander2.jpg 629x914 113674 bytes 2005.04.14

"Dance of the Rampant Salamander"\r\n\r\nPainted on hand-dyed cloth. I had fun. Her little feets make me joyous. \r\n\r\nThe world needs more newts, yup.

Image: angelfox.jpg 425x357 22399 bytes 2005.04.01

Angelfox. Woo. After drawing a pouncing fox, I mused how it looked a little like it was praying, and this just... poured out of my pen. \r\n\r\nIntended as a tee-shirt design. Some info here...

Image: spot-the-maniac.jpg 643x514 71530 bytes 2005.04.01

I can't believe I forgot to upload some of these... ohwell. I've been getting lazy with my uploading. This was inspired by an old tee-shirt of mine - much-loved and falling apart at the seams. This is homage to it. :)\r\n\r\nMore information here

Image: angelfoxcrescent_fin.jpg 492x665 72022 bytes 2005.02.26

For Angel-FoX-crescent.\r\n\r\n

Image: dg_col.jpg 473x711 56089 bytes 2004.08.31

Coloured version of the previous upload. Never again will I do so much sand. :P (And no, still no prizes for guessing my inspiration). Anyway... Ivy is what you get when you try to make a robot from spare parts.\r\n\r\nMore description here: \r\n

Image: damaged.jpg 586x759 29570 bytes 2004.08.29

"Damaged Goods". \r\n\r\nNo prizes for guessing my current obsession. Yes, she's intentionally lopsided. \r\n\r\nRagh. Look here:\r\n

Image: quindle_red.jpg 521x802 72289 bytes 2004.06.21

This is (well, supposed to be) Quindle, for the latest Yerf Secret Santa. The brief was "monochrome"... I think the red will burn my eyes if I look at it for much longer.

Image: regal-tigress.jpg 427x637 117840 bytes 2004.05.20

Yes, this is a re-upload of a pic - I took the original down, as I was trying to get a better scan of it, but I failed miserably on that front. Oh well. \r\n\r\nAnyway - this is a "maltese tiger" - never photographed and rarely seen, some people deny they exist, some people say they're just normal tigers that have got muddy. Anyway, I thought it'd be amusing to draw, so here it is - bluer than I wanted, but not vastly so, and the thing on her forehead is wonky. *grs* I was sure it was straight when it was still just in pencils.

Image: Zenith.jpg 571x771 132591 bytes 2004.05.20

This is (supposed to be) Zenith, for Fia, for the Yerf May Secret Santa (too many "for"s in there). I felt like I was cheating, since the character is pretty historical to start with, so I tried to make her look Greek, as well. :) Part watercolour, part pencils, part mushed by scanner, part mushed by me with my 'orrible paper. Oh well.

Image: lazy-afternoon.jpg 600x505 62039 bytes 2004.04.28

Reupload of an older image. I wasn't happy with the water (looked less like a river and more like someone had underlit it with halogen lamps) and there wasn't half enough of those things called "shadows". So I attacked it with my watercolours, and while I can't do much about the wobbly anatomy I'm happier with the colouring - less saurated, for one thing! And it didn't take so much fiddling with the output to get the colours truer to how they are in real life. At least the water looks more like water now - and look, it has fish! \r\n\r\nAnyway. Yay. I killed the paper with this, so any more fixable errors I spot later will have to stay there. \r\n\r\nKeaalu © A Scott '04

Image: cyrus-n-shade.jpg 751x569 165558 bytes 2004.03.17

For Shadowolf, (Trading Post #49), so characters (c) her good self. My scanner still hates me. Roll on August and proper job and money to buy a new one.\r\n\r\nGr.

Image: sullen_wyvern.jpg 764x564 102691 bytes 2004.01.05

Grouchy wyvern type bloke. Him grumpy. Better descriptions elsewhere, /me needing sleep 'n' can't think properly - Uni restarts today, and I do NOT want to be here... My bed is calling me. Another random dragon, anyway. \r\n\r\nNot very hydrodynamic for an aquatic creature, is he?

Image: my_scanner_likes_red.jpg 567x751 127410 bytes 2004.01.02

\tThis little bloke originated on the “Random dragon creator” (, to the owner of whom I obviously have to give SOME credit... :) Took a good three hours to do wings down, and I did take a few liberties with how he looked, though, since I couldn’t remember exactly what a styracosaur’s frill looked like, and colouring the entire thing in crimson wouldn’t have scanned well – plus you wouldn’t have seen its stripes. \r\n\r\n\tHe says rar.

Image: face.jpg 440x571 59954 bytes 2003.07.11

The image that seems to follow me around everywhere... I think I use it (well, bits of it) as personal avatars for forums, my shop, etc...

Image: dragonfly.jpg 533x506 57543 bytes 2003.07.11

It's a dragonfly. Geddit? :P\r\n\r\nArt © Keaalu, as usual...

Image: talking.jpg 546x500 38336 bytes 2003.06.03

"Talking". Yay. The colours got sorta fudged on this one, though, when I coloured it - used poor quality paper and my Trias decided to punish me for it. Blah.\r\n\r\nAnyway, if it's not obvious, that creature is a cyborg, kinda. Nerf. Art © Keaalu (yay)

Image: bubbles.jpg 563x608 132357 bytes 2003.04.28

I call her "Bubbles". She took blooming hours to draw, especially them stupid rocks. As a hint, never break your own rules, you usually make them for a reason... bah.

Image: bluedragon.jpg 617x782 94978 bytes 2003.04.28

This is "Ivan". He's a sort of wingless tundra-dragon type creature, although he's technically NOT a dragon as he doesn't think he is (has never heard of them. Poor isolated little fella). Anyway... colouring this one. Woo for furry blue dragons. :)

Image: falco_vulpin.jpg 602x400 78843 bytes 2003.04.23

This could have scanned a lot better *sad* My scanner likes to mutilate my artwork, it's not fair.

Image: oriental_with_pearl.jpg 550x654 90581 bytes 2003.04.23

Oriental dragon. I'm quite pleased with this one (apart from the oogly legs, not sure what's going on with them... bah)

Image: wet.jpg 380x573 49018 bytes 2003.04.17

Merfs no like getting wet. :P

Image: unopa.jpg 557x560 61610 bytes 2003.04.12

Little pencil drawing of Unopa. Started out as a lion, I think... how odd. Anyway. I like it. Used about 6 grades of pencil, as well, which was quite an experiment for me... Anyway. \r\nUnopa © herself.

Image: ihraag_col.jpg 543x503 57450 bytes 2003.04.12

Ihraag again, in colour, with my shoddy shading. Lost some detain from the ink version, but he's not oogly, I suppose...\r\n\r\nIhraag © Keaalu. :)

Image: hedgehog.jpg 584x868 163545 bytes 2003.04.12

Drawn for a friend's birthday. She liked hedgehogs, so...

Image: spectra.jpg 347x600 64865 bytes 2003.04.11

She's a 'draconar', I believe... not sure I spelt that right though. \r\n\r\nOh, and if anyone recognises where I’ve got the feathery crest and tail idea off, could they gimme a yell so I can put credit where credit due? I just remember seeing it somewhere, thinking “ooh, that’s cool, hey, I could use it for x” then forgetting my source. \r\n\r\nAnyway. Draconars and "Spectra" © Unopa Nightfire

Image: giira.jpg 482x744 67144 bytes 2003.04.11

Giira. A character in a friend's fiction. An alien bird-creature.

Image: raifax.jpg 584x476 52450 bytes 2003.04.11

This is Raifax, a dragon in a friend's comic. (Well, my version of him anyway) For a pictures exchange on one of the forums I used to be a regular on (only visit every now and then, now, though.)\r\n\r\n'Raifax' © Claudia "Alector" Schmidt (Eh, hope I spelt her name right... *whistles innocently*)

Image: enfield.jpg 587x402 41014 bytes 2003.03.12

This is an enfield (for which reason I have him dubbed "Harry" at the moment. :) ). He's a rare heraldic creature; part fox, greyhound, eagle, lion and wolf, apparently. Yay. His anatomy is a wonky, but I like him.\r\n\r\nArt © Keaalu. Not sure who enfields are © to...

Image: cubsitters.jpg 656x558 152504 bytes 2003.02.21

Cubsitting. Looks like sunbathing is more interesting than minding three boisterous seavul cubs...\r\n\r\nWatercolour and pencil on 135gsm sketching paper. Art etc © 2003 A 'Keaalu' Scott
