This is a piece I drew earlier today. Just sort of sketched it out on a piece of notebook paper, then fixed it in PS. It's my entry into a contest to win free tickets to Dragoncon here in Atlanta, Ga. See if you can't guess who else is sponsoring the contest...? I have already checked the company site... there is no mention of this particular contest anywhere. Surprising, but unimportant. I hope to be a finalist, if only to save me the horrendous fee to get in to the lousy convention. The contest? Draw your favorite android-thingy. This robotic dude is the result. This guy started out as a head perspective exercise. The rest of him just sort of happened. He looks like he is in agony, and he is a dragon... so, Dragony. This is one studly mofo. I constantly draw exagerrated female dragons, so why not a male? If you look close, it ain't just his muscles that bulge... The name? Mixed up some famous demons... asteroth, mephistophilis, and beelzebub... and after some interesting variations, produced Zephiloth. Cool thing is, his nickname is Phil.
