Saule

Had wanted to sketch one of these for a while and decided to take a quick break from EF stuffs to put some very basic, quick digital colours on there. :)

This critter is one of Banrai's Saule species. This particular one is heavily based off of my hyena 'sona (but less chubby, haha). :D

This was also a good exercise on a simpler digital colouring method!

I used paint. OMGZ. I've not done that in over a year, and even then I only tried watercolor about 5 times. So it shows. And the anatomy of Six's hands is somewhat off.

It's a good starting point, though. *cough*

My scanner was not playing ball with this one, sadly, as the pencil colouring is very soft - you just can't see the shading on the white. I loved the character's designs though and it was fun to do.

A commission for Song Coyote of he (cougar) and his mate (wolf). A beautiful married couple!

A commission for Anjel Kitty of her mate, Puppy, the rat-tailed coyote. She wanted something native American in style, and though it's been done a million times, I hope this stands out on its own as well.

I've tried to depict Puppy as a youngish coyote here. He smokes the calumet ("peace pipe") here as he seeks the vision and insight of the spirits.
