Prongleyhorn for a friend. Been experimenting with some new Prismacolor markers.

On the MFF badges there's these little 1 in. x 1 in. pictures. Here's the one I did for this year's badges. The painting itself is less than 2 inches tall. Acrylics and color pencil.

Needed an image to stick on a banner. Of course it had to be an aye-aye.\r\n\r\nAcrylics and color pencil, digitally cleaned up and enhanced. Image is about 9x12.

The mockturtle and gryphon from Alice in Wonderland are highly underappreciated. Most likely because they weren't incorporated in the animated Disney movie, and most people's first exposure to the Alice books are from there. So I'm gonna paint em. I made the gryphon all traditional and "coat of arms" looking. The mockturtle is part green sea turtle, part baby cow... because Mock Turtle soup is made from veal. I based Alice's design largely on the Tenniel illustrations. \r\n

A friend has been at my house for a few days, and we spent almost the entire time geeking out and coming up with a story that we're trying to turn into a Muck. It's South American animals, and it has a backbone plot, along with various factions and societies to play in.\r\n\r\nI did monkey art for it... because come on... they're monkeys.\r\n\r\nHowever the main storyline revolves around jaguars.\r\n\r\nMonkeys! In Madagascar folklore, the aye-aye is a very powerful being, often associated with darker magics. So potent is the magic in it's middle finger, it can strike you down dead just by pointing it at you. They are witches, and keepers of the dark, tangled forests. This aye-aye is putting life back into a long dead fossa skull. What secrets will the undead reveal? \r\n\r\nRoughly 9in x 12in acrylics and color pencil.
