Often, when making a pact with a demon, the currency used in exchange for wealth, long life, extraordinary powers, or fame was the first born child... or any baby for that matter. \r\n\r\nThis was an extremely fun painting to do. >:)\r\n\r\n8.5x11 acrylic painting

Image: Blood.jpg   465x524 81622 bytes 2004.10.30

"The sight of your blood brings me such pleasure."\r\n\r\nI am a big fan of demons. They are yummy. Relatively quick acrylic painting on a 8.5x11 piece of illustration board.\r\n\r\nHave a fun and safe Halloween everyone!

Image: Monarchs.jpg   401x650 79055 bytes 2004.10.24

Silver phase red fox with monarch butterflies. The monarchs aren't entirely accurate, and the fox's muzzle is a bit too wide for a fox... but I think it turned out ok otherwise.\r\n\r\n11x17 acrylic painting

9x12 acrylic painting of Velociraptor mongoliensis. Wheee.

Lynx with a mouse on his head. I blame hormones for this random bout of cuteness. 11x14 acrylic painting. \r\n\r\nThe mouse's name is Mr. Nibbles. :P

Image is about 10in x 17in done in acrylics. I wanted to portray mythical Coyote, hence the people hands... they came out as glove-like (skin walker, kinda). I think it's interesting, but I don't know if many will like it (alot of people like paw-hands). There's some things wrong with it, I'm not terribly good at lighting. Hopefully it will find a good home at FurCon.

Practicing with acrylics some more. This is from a photograph in the book "World of the Coyote." The whiskers came out clumsy, I should have done them with pencil.\r\n\r\nImage roughly 5in x 3in.

Acrylics and I haven't spoken to each other in over a decade. I think we're back on speaking terms now. It ain't perfect... but I think it's pretty good for my first acrylic painting in 12 years.\r\n\r\nImage is about 5in x 3in

Wheee, off topic!\r\n\r\nFinally managed to do a finished, colored pic of my character Lucifer. \r\n\r\n

Rabbits know what sacrifice is, and how it must happen in order for others to live. Inspired by the Japanese folk tale about the rabbit and the moon.

With the fires of imagination, he dances your dreams into motion.

Image: Naga.jpg   520x706 144569 bytes 2004.03.19

Nagas are cool. I wanted to integrate the snake and human more than what you usually see (human torso pasted onto a snake body), to make it look like something that could actually exist (more or less). Heavily inspired by my Sinaloan Milksnake, Widdershins.

Image: MacTire.jpg   542x703 142317 bytes 2004.03.11

Title is Irish Gaelic for "wolf," pronounced: Mock Teerah. It's a European grey wolf... or at least it's supposed to be.

Content inspired by an experience I had a few weeks ago. Composition heavily influenced by Susan Seddon Boulet.
